Free case of wine with Barclaycard balance transfer credit cards

Updated on 13 October 2014 | 0 Comments

Best balance transfer credit cards from Barclaycard now come with free wine.

Please note Barclaycard has now withdrawn the free wine offer as of 10.30am on 13th October.

Barclaycard is giving new customers a free case of wine worth £60 with its top 0% balance transfer cards.

The offer is available on the 34-Month Platinum Balance Transfer Card and the 33-Month Platinum Balance Transfer Card.

All you have to do is transfer a minimum of £2,000 over to your new card and pay £4.99 postage and packing for your wine gift from Naked Wines. If you don't want the wine, you can select a £15 Debenhams e-giftcard instead.

However, you'll need to move quickly if you want to get your hands on the free booze - the offer only runs until 24th October.

Sweetening the deal

We always like to get something for free, but there's no point picking a deal for the sake of a juicy freebie if you end up paying more for it than if you go for a competitor.

So how do the Barclaycard credit cards compare?

As you can see, Barclaycard's balance transfer credit cards were already topping the table, so now there is a nice added bonus for taking out the best cards.

However, if a Barclaycard is not an option - perhaps because the balance you are transferring is already on a Barclaycard credit card - then there are plenty of cracking alternatives. Just this week Lloyds Bank, Halifax and Bank of Scotland beefed up their own cards, moving to 33 months of 0% interest on balances.

I want a smaller transfer fee

If you don't need the best part of three years in order to clear your balance, then there are plenty of credit cards with tiny transfer fees, as the table below demonstrates. Indeed, the Tesco card doesn't charge a transfer fee at all!
