Green Deal Home Improvement Fund gets extra £100 million funding
Another chance to get Government help towards new boiler, double glazing and insulation.
Homeowners will have another chance to get Government help in paying for new boilers, double glazing and insulation after extra funding for the Green Deal Home Improvement Fund was confirmed.
The Home Improvement Fund was initially closed just six weeks after opening earlier this year. It offered up to £7,600 worth of vouchers to go towards the cost of installing energy efficient improvements. It also allowed households to claim up to £1,000 to install two energy-saving improvements with an extra £100 available to put towards the initial assessment. People who had bought homes in the past year were even luckier - they received an extra £500.
Improvements included loft insulation, double glazing and boiler upgraded, based on the household's individual needs.
It had to close when the allocated £120 million funding ran out. Read Green Deal Home Improvement Fund closed for more.
Full details are to be published in late November stating when households can apply and exactly what will be offered.
