EuroMillions to create 50 UK millionaires by Christmas

Today marks the start of EuroMillions' Millionaires' Month. But what are the odds of winning the UK Millionaires' Raffle?
Today sees the start of EuroMillions’ Millionaires Month, with the lottery promising to create 50 UK millionaires between 25 November and 23 December.
Instead of just one prize, there will be 18 lucky winners of the UK Millionaires’ Raffle tonight and 25 millionaires created on 23 December. The other seven winners will drawn as normal on Tuesdays and Fridays during the period.
If you buy a EuroMillions ticket during Millionaire Month you’ll automatically be allocated a Millionaires’ Raffle number. Only tickets purchased in the UK are entered into the raffle.
Tickets cost £2 each.
What are the odds of winning?
Based on EuroMillions’ own figures, the odds of winning are greater on Tuesday than a Friday. But bear in mind that those odds are still huge.
EuroMillions estimates that there are around 3.5 million tickets sold for Tuesday draws and 9.2 million sold on Fridays. So if you fancy a punt, Tuesday obviously seems to be the better option. But with more draws on 25 November and 23 December you might decide to go for those days instead.
Of course, if there’s a rollover jackpot for the main draw those odds are going to lengthen even further as more people play for the big prize.
The National Lottery says there is an unclaimed winning Millionaires’ Raffle ticket from 4 November. It was bought in South Lanarkshire.

Planetzog, I think the writer makes reference to the raffle. Not the lottery draw.

probably you are better waiting and buying all of your tickets on the 23rd december though as there are 25 millionaires to be made then and probably tickets sales won;t be 25 times higher than normal.

Actually the chances of winning a million in millionaire month are higher on a Tuesday as stated as this is a raffle ticket. You are right that winning on Euromillions stays the same, but the odds of winning on the millionaires raffle is 1/number of tickets sold. Since fewer people play on a Tuesday, your odds are better.
