Frugal Food

This week we bring you the latest M&S meal deal and some cracking offers on whiskey, gin and champagne. We show you how to get £10 off your next pizza delivery, and how to get a two-course restaurant meal for just £5. And of course, we've got all the top supermarket food deals and voucher codes.

Best supermarket deals

This week, I'm going to start with the best offers at ASDA. This ASDA Classic Christmas pudding is still reduced from £2.18 to £1; and you can now pick up 12 ASDA mince pies for £1, reduced from £1.76.

Several Goodfella's Delicia pizzas are still on sale for just £1, reduced from £2.38; and various varieties of Shloer sparkling juice drink have also been reduced to £1, from around £1.90.

At Tesco, you can still pick up lots of reduced Christmas treats including Mr Kipling Christmas Pudding reduced from £5 to £2 and a big Tesco Finest Matured Christmas Pudding reduced from £10 to £5.

In the fruit and veg aisle, a 2 for 1 deal means you can currently get ten oranges for £2. Finally, there's still an excellent deal on Ragu cooking sauce: 500g jars are usually £1.69 each, but you can currently pick up two for just £1.

Good deals at Sainsbury's include apricot punnets reduced from £3.99 to £1.49, and 350g of asparagus spears reduced from £2.99 to £1.49.

Ten-packs of Birds Eye Omega 3 fish fingers are now just 98p (reduced from £1.96); and one litre bottles of Filippo Berio extra virgin olive oil are now half price, down from £6.99 to £3.49.

Lidl deals include this assorted six-pack of McCoy's crisps for 73p, 21 bags of Walkers crisps for £1.99, boxes of Ferrero Rocher for £2.25 and 200g jars of Nescafe Gold Blend for £4.

Over at ALDI, the Super 6 fruit and veg offers include 2.5kg of baking potatoes for 49p, cucumbers for 29p each, pineapples for 69p each and and three-packs of peppers for 69p.

At the Co-op you can now pick up 400g boxes of Cadbury Milk Tray for just £2.80 (usual price £6) and two boxes for After Eight Mints for £3 (usually £3 each). And you can get into the festive spirit with their cut-price sprouts; 500g bags have been reduced from £1 to 50p.

Morrisons is still running several excellent 'buy one, get two free' promotions. Deals include three 165g boxes of king prawns for £3.99, and three 70g bags of Phileas Fogg crisps for £1.56.

And finally, Marks & Spencer has just released its latest 'dine in for £10' meal deal. As usual, it includes mains, side dishes and desserts for two, plus a bottle of wine. It runs from now until Sunday 13th December, and you can view the full menu here.

There are sometimes much better deals on offer at street markets and independent shops than there are at the supermarkets. Unfortunately, their local nature makes it impossible for us to cover them properly here.

If you've come across a great food deal at your local market, please do leave a comment at the bottom of the article letting us know. That way, fellow lovemoney.com readers in your local area can take advantage of the offer you've flagged up. Thanks!

Tipple

At ASDA, one litre bottles of Bombay Sapphire Gin are still reduced from £23.61 to £14. And 700ml bottles of Bushmills Original Irish Whiskey are now just £12.46.

This is down from admittedly crazy original price of £29.76 - but it's still a good deal at the reduced tag. No expiry date has been given for either of these offers, however, so do check the links before heading out to the shops.

There are several excellent bubbly deals around, too: ASDA is selling Pierre Darcys Brut Champagne for just £10, reduced from £23.98. And at Marks & Spencer, you can now pick up Louis Chaurey NV in-store for £12.99, reduced £25.99.
