A pity that the Timothy Dalton movies fared so poorly at the box office, because his Bond was probably the closest match to the character portrayed in the books. He almost spat the line "Bon appetit" with venom when a villain fell in the the piranha tank, whereas Roger Moore delivered the same line as a joke when Richard Kiel's "Jaws" fell in with a shark. (The shark lost the fight by the way.) I also feel a bit sorry for OHMSS. Maybe Lazenby was a bit wooden compared to his predecessor, but the movie itself was extremely solid. No Time To Die reused the haunting "We Have All The Time In The World" from OHMSS to tear-jerking effect. And how can you even mention Goldfinger without so much as a nod to Shirley Bassey's epic vocal?
