The reality, as you'll soon find out, is a major eye-opener. While some politicians take home a small amount, others rake in 23 times their country's average salary. Read on to discover the annual wages for members of parliament, congress and other legislative bodies in 42 selected nations and one territory, using data collated by PoliticalSalaries.com unless otherwise stated.

    Nice work if you can get it!!! The majority of MP's are in their position either through the old school tie or by being connected and in the know, competence does not come into it. It's the same with all the public sector top jobs. Do you remember the old town clerk running the town hall and all our services? They were probably on the equivalent of £25k, now they are paid 10 times more. With regards to Brexit had there had been a business minded person in charge they would have sorted it long ago, this lot have really messed up, turning a golden opportunity into a dead duck saga! The UK should have been in the driving seat but this lot have been bamboozled into a hopeless position by a bunch of left-wing, elitist bureaucrats. We need a government who believes in the UK and trusts it's people!!
