John Travolta's island estate, Maine, USA
Fans of acting royalty John Travolta may have already taken a peek inside his property portfolio. The Pulp Fiction star recently listed his long-term Maine island estate, which he bought with his late wife, Kelly Preston, in 1991. The couple, who were newlyweds when they purchased the property, spent months transforming the dark and dreary house into the perfect vacation home. Sitting on 48 secluded acres, this waterfront retreat is truly fit for an A-lister.

Spacious and filled with natural light, the 10,830-square-foot retreat would have been a blissful spot to escape the hubbub of Hollywood and the couple enjoyed 30 years of visiting the estate. Inside, there are plenty of spaces for entertaining, including a huge kitchen, a cozy lounge, and a dining room that can seat 50 people. The kitchen was one of the first rooms that John and Kelly renovated and it's perhaps the home's most appealing space.

In May 2020, billionaire businessman and former New York City mayor, Michael Bloomberg, purchased this reclusive ranch in rural Colorado, USA. Following his failed presidential campaign, which reportedly cost him more than $1 billion, suggests Business Insider, we're sure Bloomberg is spending time here, away from the media spotlight.

The sprawling 4,600-acre ranch can be found just under an hour from Aspen and set Bloomberg back an estimated $44.8 million – and for good reason. Known as Westlands, the estate comes with a 19,000-square-foot main house, a four-hole golf course, a swimming pool, tennis court, guest cabins and staff quarters, as well as a helipad and hangar, so that Bloomberg can make a speedy escape.

The fly-in home dates back to 1991 and boasts an expansive interior with towering ceilings and plenty of characterful design touches, such as exposed timber beams, stone fireplaces and elaborate antler chandeliers. In fact, he's said to have a mansion in Manhattan, a villa in Bermuda and a townhome in London.

In September 2019, before their much-publicized divorce, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West added Monster Lake Ranch to their property empire. Spanning over 1,500 acres, the private home boasts a backdrop of dramatic mountain scenery, and was listed as six separate parcels of land when it was on the market with J.P King Auction Company.

Originally listed for $14 million, it's not known how much the duo paid for the property, but with a restaurant, saloon, ranch-style event venue, maintenance shop, office building, equestrian facilities and a shooting range, we can't imagine the substantial lot came cheap. Steve McQueen's secluded ranch, Idaho, USA
Once the home of Hollywood star Steve McQueen, this 500-acre ranch can be found nestled on a secluded lot in Hailey, Idaho. The King of Cool bought the property after marrying his third wife, Barbara Minty. Yet just a few months after the couple moved in, McQueen passed away at the age of 50.

Now known as the Pioneer Moon Ranch, McQueen and Minty nicknamed the property Crazy M Ranch. Sold for $6.5 million back in 2014, the property has undergone numerous changes since McQueen's day. A separate log cabin was built on the estate in 1990 by McQueen's widow, while a 1,700-square-foot entertainment annex was added in 2010.

Over 500 miles away from the Hollywood Hills sits this ultimate celebrity hideaway that once hosted the likes of Frank Sinatra and Judy Garland. Nestled along the shores of Lake Tahoe, the spectacular Villa Harrah was created by casino kingpin William Harrah and became renowned for hosting Rat Pack parties. The A-list playground sits just across the lake from the Cal Neva Resort and Casino, which Sinatra once part-owned.

According to Tahoe Quarterly, Villa Harrah was accessed via a secret underground tunnel that ran the length of the property, allowing Sinatra and other high-profile guests to come and go at ease. Late American singer-songwriter Kenny Rogers personally designed his own vast estate, extending over a whopping 973 acres in Athens, Georgia. The 'Islands in the Stream' co-singer commissioned Beaver Dam Farms back in the 1980s, which sits off the beaten track, surrounded by picturesque lakes and rolling countryside.

As far as ranches of the rich and famous go, this one is up there. The huge estate boasts not only a mansion, but also numerous guest houses, a clubhouse, two swimming pools and two clay tennis courts. In 2003, the Grammy Award-winning singer sold his beloved estate to real estate investor Wes Adams, who passed away in 2011. In 2016, the property went up for auction with a starting price of just $3.5 million, which included all of the estate's furnishings.

In the summer of 2018, American talk show host Oprah purchased the 43-acre Madroneagle Estate on Washington's Orcas Island, adding to her spectacular property portfolio. A destination for A-listers craving peace and solitude, the star paid $8.3 million for the private home on the exclusive isle. Blending in beautifully with its surroundings, the sprawling 7,303-square-foot main house was built using salvaged wood and local sandstone.

The magnificent mansion, which is nestled within tranquil gardens, has a total of four bedrooms and four bathrooms, and looks out onto its very own private stretch of beach. Designed by famed architect John Lautner, the Hope residence was home to stand-up comedian Bob Hope and his wife Dolores. Built in 1979, the sprawling residence sits in six acres of private land in Palm Springs, California. The British-Australian star purchased the 187-acre estate following the release of Grease in 1978, but placed the property on the real estate market in 2019 for $3.6 million, selling recently for an undisclosed sum. Faith Hill and Tim McGraw’s private island, Exumas, The Bahamas
Described by the real estate agents, Knight Frank, as a “safe haven paradise”, this exclusive enclave is a celebrity home unlike any other. Located on the private island of Exumas, in the heart of The Bahamas, the luxurious property has belonged to country music stars Faith Hill and Tim McGraw since 2003. Yet the A-list couple didn't move in until 2012, because their substantial self-build project took a little longer than expected, they told Architectural Digest in 2017.

Now, the long-term couple have decided to part ways with their remote island estate, which lies an 80-minute flight from Miami, Florida. Listed for a staggering $35 million, the lavish hideaway is known as L’île d’Anges (Goat Cay) and spans some 20 acres. As well as offering a stunning 6,512-square-foot interior, the property also comes complete with almost 1.3 miles of water frontage, including two white sandy beaches fringed with palm trees.
