Free food for getting vaccinated
Today (Tuesday 6 July), Chipotle Mexican Grill is offering a buy-one-get-one-free promotion as an incentive for people to get vaccinated and a reward for those who already have. From 3pm to closing, Chipotle will offer free entrees (limited to two) for every purchased entree in what the chain's chief marketing officer Chris Brandt has described as "a craveable reward for getting vaccinated". That said, proof of vaccination isn't needed to access the deal at participating restaurants, with those looking to get the deal having to say "Friends BOGO" to the cashier.
As it stands, 330 million vaccine doses have been administered across America, and 157 million people have been fully vaccinated. That's more than 51% of adult Americans according to the CDC. While Chipotle's offer only lasts a day, there are lots of other freebies and chances to win big money for those who've got their shot. Baseball tickets in New York
One state trying to help score a home run when it comes to its vaccine rollout is New York, where residents who get their shots at local ballparks will receive complimentary tickets to a New York Yankees or New York Mets game. From 19 May, vaccinated and unvaccinated spectators will be sat in separate parts of the stand so that social distancing regulations only applies to those who haven’t had their shot.

New York is also trialing walk-in immunization sites at eight subway and train stations until 10 July to try and increase vaccine uptake. People who get a shot at either Penn Station in Manhattan or Grand Central Terminal can then claim a free seven-day MetroCard or two free one-way tickets for the Long Island Rail Road or Metro-North.

Marijuana

So far, the group has already distributed more than 10,000 joints across its immunization events. Following the legalization of marijuana in New York on 31 March, a sister organization played host to an event in Union Square on 20 April and another 4,000 joints were handed out to vaccinated people.

$100 for new Amazon workers
E-commerce giant Amazon is offering a cash incentive to its workers for being vaccinated. Amazon employees can receive $40 for each vaccine dose they get off-site. Amazon have also created their own vaccination points on-site, but workers don't receive the financial incentive if they are vaccinated there. In May and early June, the retail giant also used a $100 vaccine bonus as a means of attracting 75,000 new workers across the US. The hiring spree came ahead of Prime Day on 21 and 22 June, which is one of Amazon’s busiest periods, and any new joiners who were immunized were given the extra cash on top of their hourly rate.

Once 20,000 selfies have been posted, Drop will reduce the reward amount down to $20.

$100 in savings bonds
West Virginia’s vaccine rollout isn’t going quite as smoothly, with only 43.9% of residents having received one shot as of 5 July. To combat vaccine hesitancy in younger West Virginians, the state will be giving $100 savings bonds to all 16- to 35-year-olds who opt to have a shot, as Governor Jim Justice (pictured) says younger people are “not taking the vaccines as fast as we’d like them to take them”.
