Where did Kim Kardashian grow up?
In 1998, seven years after her mum Kris married Caitlyn Jenner, then known as Bruce, Kim graduated from Marymount High School in Bel Air, California, which she attended with future socialite friend, Paris Hilton. But it would be a few years before her career started to take off.

The start of Kim Kardashian's career
At just 20 years old, the soon to be reality star secretly wed music producer Damon Thomas. But when Kim’s dad passed away in 2003, her marriage broke down a year later. Around this time she also became close with former high school friend, Paris Hilton and began working as the celebutante’s assistant where she got her first taste of the limelight. In a 2019 episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, Kim acknowledged that Hilton 'literally gave me a career'.

But it wasn’t until 2007 when reality show, Keeping Up With The Kardashians first aired on E! Entertainment that Kim became a household name. The show followed the daily exploits of the Kardashian-Jenner family including stepfather Caitlyn Jenner and younger half-sisters Kendall Jenner and Kylie Jenner. 2006 was also the year that Kim, Kourtney and Khloé opened their first DASH store in Calabasas.

This Tuscan gated resort villa was home to the star from 2010, when she bought it for $3.4 million, according to the listing. The five-bedroom, five-bathroom abode sweeps across nearly 3,800 square feet and boasts its own private pool, perfect for filming KUWTK scenes.

During her three year stay at the home, the businesswoman married former NBA basketball player Kris Humphries in August 2011. Despite airing in a special titled Kim’s Fairytale Wedding: A Kardashian Event, Kim filed for divorce just 72 days into the marriage as reported by US Weekly. The pair lived in the house together until their divorce, which was maybe why Kim decided to sell up in 2013 for $4 million, making a tidy profit.

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West
Shortly after her divorce from Kris Humphries, Kim started dating long-time friend Kanye West. After dating for two years, the pair married in May 2014. Unsurprisingly their wedding was a high profile celebrity-filled affair, held at Fort di Belvedere in Florence, Italy following a seven-month engagement according to ABC News.

Before the wedding in 2014, the pair announced their first pregnancy in January 2013 during Kanye’s New Year's Eve performance in Atlantic City. Before North West was born in June 2013 the parents purchased this family-sized mansion within the guard-gated community of Bel Air Crest for a cool $9 million according to the listing.

With seven bedrooms and seven bathrooms, there was plenty of room for a growing family and on 5 December 2015, while the couple still lived in the home, Kim gave birth to their son, Saint West. Elsewhere, the sleek minimalist kitchen boasts a long, slim centre island and stainless steel appliances.

After transforming the abode to their minimalist taste, Kim and Kanye decided to sell the property. Making a tidy profit, the Bel Air mansion sold for $17.8 million in 2017. In the summer of 2017 it was confirmed by People that Kim and Kanye had hired a surrogate to carry their third child, so it looked like the growing family were in the market for a new home!

In 2014, Kim and Kanye purchased this expansive estate in Hidden Hills for $20 million, set across three acres of land, boasting beautiful vineyards, mature trees and rolling lawns. According to People, Kris Jenner claimed the home was valued at around $60 million after the couple completely reimagined it.

As documented in Keeping Up With The Kardashians, Kim and Kanye welcomed two more babies to their family via surrogate. Their second daughter, Chicago, was born on 15 January 2018 while their second son, Psalm was born on 10 May 2019. A full house!

Inside the palatial home, huge arching hallways and streams of white space make for a somewhat spiritual building. Speaking to Architectural Digest in February 2020, Kanye described the Hidden Hills mansion as a 'futuristic Belgian monastery’. Designed by the couple alongside Belgian architect Axel Vervoodt, they spent $20 million on the extensive renovations.

During the renovations the couple and their children stayed across the road at Kris' home for three years, eventually moving out in 2017. The massive house boasts two kitchens, two pantries, several freezers and a huge walk-in refrigerator. Here we can see the family in one of two kitchens that boasts a vast, round wooden table.
Kim's minimalist Calabasas condo
Three years after snapping up their colossal development project, Kim purchased this 2,260-square-foot condo for $1.6 million in 2017, in the exclusive neighborhood of Calabasas. Just two years later, the star listed the property for $3.5 million, but no buyer came forward. Fast-forward three years and in September 2022, she put the residence on the market again for the exact same price.

Featuring three bedrooms and four bathrooms, the property has undergone a serious makeover since Kim first purchased it. Ex-husband Kanye commissioned Begian brutalist architect Vincent Van Duysen to overhaul the accommodation as a birthday present for his former wife in the seemingly happier days of their marriage.

The result is a minimalist, monastery-style aesthetic, with neutral tones, exposed plaster walls, and streamlined furnishings. Natural textures extend throughout the stark living spaces, from the European oak floors to the hemp carpet and linen upholstery. Stone, ivory, and cream hues define the pared-back celebrity pad. The property is remarkably similar in style to the pair's former marital home in Hidden Hills.

Notes of glitz and glamour creep into the stylish master bathroom, with its illuminated vanity and freestanding bathtub. The apartment featured on several episodes of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, so it's clear that Kim spent time at the condo. Since her high-profile divorce settlement with Kanye, Kim now has sole ownership of the property.
Kim Kardashian’s neighboring Hidden Hills ranch
Not content with just one Hidden Hills mansion, Kim and Kanye invested in a second neighboring property in October 2019 for just under $3 million. Earlier in the same year, they had also purchased a second adjoining house in an off-market deal for $2.7 million, securing seven-and-a-half acres of land surrounding their primary Hidden Hills mansion.

Inside, the home offers vaulted, wooden ceilings in the expansive main living room, along with four bedrooms, four bathrooms, and a four-car garage. Encompassing 3,874 square feet in total, the ranch was a sizeable real estate investment for the former couple, and all for the sake of protecting their privacy.

No Kardashian property would be complete without its own pool and expertly landscaped backyard. Featuring a covered patio and built-in barbecue terrace for hungry celebrity guests, it's not known if the pair ever resided at the property. In the wake of their divorce, Kim appears to have taken ownership of the house, and in September 2022 she placed it on the market for $5.3 million, a significant return on her initial investment.

Across the road, you'll find the home's state-of-the-art equestrian facilities, which include a four-stall horse barn, a tack room, a feed room, and a corral area. Kim's eldest daughter, North West, is especially fond of horse riding and even had a Western-style seventh birthday party back in 2020.
Kim Kardashian’s Wyoming ranch with Kanye West
However exciting their Los Angeles life was together, the peaceful rolling hills of Wyoming beckoned, and in September 2019 the family bought their own ranch. Named Monster Lake Ranch, the homestead stretches out across 4,500 acres of idyllic mountainous countryside.

Consisting of numerous lakeside cabins and outbuildings including a restaurant, saloon, ranch-style event venue, equestrian facilities and a shooting range, the property was certainly large enough for the family of six. Originally listed for $14 million, the exact price they paid is currently unknown. This ranch became Kanye's home, while the couple hunkered down in the media storm of their divorce announcement. Nevertheless, he listed the sprawling property in October 2021 for $11 million with DBW Realty, before pulling it off the market in September 2022 in the wake of Kim's split from Pete Davidson, a move that raised some eyebrows.
Kim Kardashian and Kanye's second ranch
2019 was a busy year for the famous duo’s property portfolio. One month after purchasing the Hidden Hills second home, Kanye followed suit of a number of celebrities fleeing to the countryside and bought a second Wyoming ranch for $14.5 million. Bighorn Mountain Ranch is located approximately 50 miles from their first ranch, on over 6,700 acres of land. Complete with three camps that are dotted around the estate, it has 10 cabins available to the family.

One such camp is The Lodge at Bald Ridge, hosting its own log cabin with five bedrooms, four bathrooms and three additional smaller cabins which are ideal for guests or staff. It’s easy to see what attracted the family to ranch living, with plenty of outdoor activities on tap such as skiing, hiking and fishing. The wider Kardashian family enjoyed more time out of the spotlight after December 2020, when Kim Kardashian announced the end of KUWTK, but it wasn't long before the clan was back on our screens. A new show titled The Kardashians launched on streaming service Hulu in April 2022.

Kim Kardashian and Kanye split
News of Kim and Kanye's split came in 2021 after months of rumors and seven years of marriage. We now know that Kanye claimed the ranches in the divorce settlement, while Kim bought her husband out of the Hidden Hills estate for $23 million according to US Weekly.
Hidden Hills 'buffer' home
Kim is still winning the who-can-own-the-most-of-Hidden-Hills race though, as she bought this understated, custom-built four-bed in the same neighborhood. It sits between Kim’s other Hidden Hills property and the house Kanye snapped up in December—a very expensive 'buffer' between her and her ex, at $6.3 million. It was such an attractive buy, the reality star allegedly paid $800,000 over the asking price, as reported by New York Post.
Hidden Hills 'buffer' home
Quite the time-warp, this is the first time this home has been on the market since it was built in 1975 and Kim can either embrace the formal style of the place or remodel it into a more modern home, in her signature understated style. The large dining room certainly has plenty of space for hosting the whole Kardashian-Jenner clan and looks out onto the greenery of the yard outside.
Hidden Hills 'buffer' home
The dining room leads to a family room with a fireplace and wet bar, and there's also an ensuite bedroom downstairs. A deep green-carpeted spiral staircase adorned with gold-colored railings leads to the second-floor bedrooms. Yet, as the New York Post suggested, Kim likely purchased the property reportedly as a teardown—much like Kanye did.
Hidden Hills 'buffer' home
Before things turned nasty, having a house between the couple’s respective homes would have fitted in nicely with Kim and Kanye’s plan to co-parent their four children, where the kids would have enjoyed plenty of play space. The pad stretches across 4,239 square feet of living space and sits on more than an acre of land, providing plenty of scope for Kim to expand her estate.
Hidden Hills 'buffer' home
However, ever the property flipper, according to Dirt, Kim put the Hidden Hills fixer-upper back on the market in November 2022—less than six months after buying it. Priced at a nifty $7 million, she is hoping to make a profitable $700k (£601k) on her investment made just six months ago. But, why did she sell up?
Kim's new Malibu beach house
Perhaps the reason Kim decided to sell up her Hidden Hills buffer home so quickly was to snap up this beautiful seaside estate. Built in 1944, the Malibu beach house previously belonged to supermodel Cindy Crawford. According to Dirt, Crawford purchased the property for over $50 million from biotech engineer, Walter de Logi’s wife after he died in 2014. Hidden from sight behind a huge gate and at the end of a long stretch of driveway, how much did our favorite aspiring lawyer and model pay for the pad?
Kim's new Malibu beach house
Undergoing extensive renovations in the 1990s and more recently in 2016, Kim’s new four-bedroom Mediterranean-style villa was once a six-acre estate—before being split into two lots. Seen here via images from an old listing, Cindy Crawford sold the smaller of the two parcels to a retired hedge fund manager, Adam Weiss. After listing it in March 2022 at a little under $100 million, Weiss sold up to the Skims founder in September in an off-market deal for a much lower $70.4 million. The savvy entrepreneur strikes again!

Alongside a light and spacious gym, the 7,500 square-foot house hosts numerous roomy living areas illuminated via walls of glass throughout offering glittering views across Malibu beaches. Cindy Crawford still lives in her next-door parcel, where Kim will also be neighbors with Leo DiCaprio and Neil Diamond no less. The Malibu estate is reportedly the fourth priciest California home sale of 2022, lagging slightly behind Bel Air’s jaw-dropping The One mega-mansion, which sold at auction for a whopping $126 million.

Outside, Kim and her brood can enjoy a full-size tennis court framed by mature trees, a wraparound deck for alfresco dining and a pool area with cabana and fireplace. What’s more, a winding pathway leads down to a secluded beach—perfect for one of the world’s most famous women to fully relax by the sea.

What's next for Kim Kardashian?
While Kim may have just snapped up a Malibu dream house, the mum of four is said to still spend much of her time in that expansive Hidden Hills estate with the kids and ‘momager’ Kris Jenner close by. Proving to be quite the property flipper and fixer upper, we can't wait to see what's next for the property-loving reality star...
