First, a revealing fact: according to new research by Microsoft and LinkedIn, 75% of "knowledge workers" now use AI in the workplace. Of these, 53% are worried about their bosses learning they use AI to complete important tasks because they think it'll make them look replaceable.
What's more, almost half of respondents admitted they're concerned about AI replacing them at work and are considering leaving their current roles. But does AI have to herald the death of your career?
According to Colette Stallbaumer, general manager of Microsoft Copilot and co-founder of Microsoft WorkLab: “The more you can as an employee lean in and learn, the better off you’re going to be. I think that’s where people have to get over the fear hump a little bit and move into optimism... taking the opportunity to learn these skills, because all of the data shows it’s going to make [employees] more marketable."
