Revealed: the top 10 UK hotels of 2015
Hotel search website Trivago has revealed the winners of its inaugural Top Hotel Awards, made up of online user ratings. Regional and national ratings are taken into account to give a fair shot to hotels, B&Bs and serviced apartments across the UK.

10. St Michael’s, Scarborough.
St Michael’s is in a great location if you want to see the best of Scarborough. It’s within minutes of Peasholm Park and the beach, while the Sea Life Centre and North Bay Railway aren’t much further away.
Staff received a lot of praise for their warm welcome and friendly service.

9. The Somerville, Torquay.
This five-star seaside B&B is only a five-minute walk from Torquay Harbour and the Riviera centre.
There are standard and deluxe rooms, but if you want real luxury go for the Somerville Suite, which has a plasma TV and a designer bath!
Guests thoroughly recommend Somerville’s Conservatory restaurant. Average room rate: £95
8. Corinthia Hotel, London. The Corinthia has 294 bedrooms including 40 suites and seven penthouses.
You’ll find the Corinthia Hotel close to the River Thames and within easy reach of Trafalgar Square, Westminster and Covent Garden.
Leisure-wise, there’s a 24-hour fitness centre as well as a nail studio, hair salon and sleep pods.
Guests in the penthouses have a 24-hour butler. Forgotten an important date? There’s an in-house florist too. Average room rate: £548
7. Rudding Park, Harrogate.
Rudding Park is an AA 4 Red Star hotel, and boasts a spa and gym, private cinema, two AA Rosette Clocktower restaurant and an 18-hole parkland golf course. Average room rate: £211
6. Belmond Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons, Oxford.
Raymond Blanc opened this Oxford hotel back in 1984 when it received two Michelin stars. While you’re there you can take advantage of in-room spa treatments, boules and croquet and a babysitting service if you want time away from the kids.
It wouldn’t be a chef-run hotel without a cooking school on the side. There’s all sorts of courses on cooking and baking available.

5. The Soho Hotel, London.
Another five-star haunt, The Soho Hotel can be found near some of London’s best restaurants, bars, cafés and nightlife.
It serves afternoon tea which can be paired with a film in one of Soho Hotel’s very own screening rooms.

4. The Clontarf Hotel, Llandudno.
All of the rooms at the Clontarf offer great value for money, with views of either the Great Orme or the sea and complimentary designer toiletries. Alternatively you could opt for the self-catering cottage which sleeps up to six people. Either way, you'll be mere minutes away from the beach.

3. The Arthington, Blackpool.
Located just off the promenade, The Arthington is a four-star bed and breakfast run by a friendly local couple. It has easy access to the Blackpool Winter Gardens, Blackpool Tower, Madame Tussaud's and, of course, Blackpool Pleasure Beach. It offers an award-winning breakfast to help kickstart your day.

2. The Chester Residence, Edinburgh.
The Chester Residence’s designer townhouse apartments have the ‘luxurious glamour’ of a five-star hotel. It’s located in Edinburgh’s West End, a short walk from Princes Street and a whole load of shopping and attractions.
The pricey Owner's Residence apartment has designer furnishings, a Jacuzzi and a private cinema.

1. Hotel 41, London.
This five-star hotel in London has 30 luxurious rooms and suites, 24-hour room service and a personal butler. If a butler isn’t quite enough, staff outnumber guests by a ratio of two to one, so there’ll always be someone about.
