The Dakota (Rosemary's Baby): £1.4 million+
This illustrious building on the Upper West Side, New York (72nd St and Central Park West to be precise) is one of the most sought-after apartment blocks in Manhattan – the likes of Judy Garland and John Lennon have lived here! It was also the setting for the fictional Bramford in Roman Polanski's cult classic movie Rosemary's Baby.
The Dakota (Rosemary's Baby): £1.4 million+
The units in the building are made up of 1- to 10-bedroom apartments and are currently listed at sale prices from $1.7 million (£1.39m) to $29 million (£23.75m).
The Dakota (Rosemary's Baby): £1.4 million+
Similar to the paranormal events in Rosemary's Baby, there are said to have been sightings of ghosts within the building. Yoko Ono claims to have seen John Lennon sitting at his white piano, and before his death John Lennon claimed to see a weeping woman wandering the halls.
The Dakota (Rosemary's Baby): £1.4 million+
Despite the doom and gloom stories, apartments in the building sell like hot cakes – but the buying process is rigorous. Even celebrities won't necessarily get their foot through the beautiful antique doors. But with incredible views of Central Park, can you blame a person for trying?
Heathgate (Harry Potter): £2.4 million
The wizarding housing market is definitely becoming popular right now, what with Harry Potter's Privet Drive home and now the location uses for Hermione Granger's childhood home (pictured).
Heathgate (Harry Potter): £2.4 million
The London home is found in sought-after Hampstead Garden Suburb. The property includes six bedrooms, two bathrooms, two reception rooms and a "substantial" garden at the back.
Heathgate (Harry Potter): £2.4 million
Just look at that! So much room for activities. One of the trees even looks a little like a whomping willow, doesn't it?
Heathgate (Harry Potter): £2.4 million
The three-story home is filled with lots of British charm with "many original features" still intact. But at £2.4 million, your muggle money may be of no use here. Might be time for a trip to Gringotts!
