Take a look at the top 30 firms in this 2019 round-up and get ready to pen that application letter.
30. Adobe
San Jose-based Adobe has the fun, exciting feel of a start-up without the chaos and lack of money. It has gained a place on 2019's rankings, coming back into the top 30. Staff report being well looked-after, and get plenty of time off, favorable stock options, a yearly $10,000 training grant and a four-week sabbatical after five years of service.

29. Navy Federal Credit Union
The Navy Federal Credit Union offers financial services to the armed forces, and their families. Entering the top 30 large employers in 2019 the Union is known for its competitive staff benefits, with workers reporting good pay and professional support while working there.

28. Delta Air Lines
Delta stays in the top 30, but has dropped from 17 to 28 this year, meaning that it is no longer America's best airline to work for (see what is later in this gallery). However, Delta Air Lines is known for supporting its employees and allowing them to grow professionally, and shows this by rewarding staff with competitive salaries and plenty of freebie flights.
27. SAP
This IT firm, which specializes in enterprise application software, regularly appears in Glassdoor's annual round-up for good reason. Although SAP has dropped from 11th place in 2018 to 27th, the company is still an attractive employer. SAP offers employees a flexible working environment, allowing them to work from home when they like, not to mention competitive salaries and a comprehensive benefits package.

26. Fast Enterprises
Another company to drop in the rankings, Fast Enterprises has fallen one place to 26th in 2019. However, this software and IT consulting company is like one big happy family, creating a workplace culture that includes the partners and families of staff. Senior management ensure every staff member is motivated and looked-after, and the company provides its employees with exceptional salary and benefits packages.

25. Smile Brands
One of America's largest dental service organizations, Smile Brands has over 400 dental practices across 16 states. One of the most appealing aspects of Smile Brands as an employer is that it aims to reduce the amount of time dentists have to spend on administration and business tasks so that it can focus on its patients.
24. Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory
The laboratory focusing on the security and protection of United States citizens and the world, looks after America's nuclear deterrent. A job here will have a lot of responsibility, but Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory is known as a good employer, with scientists benefiting from a campus-style atmosphere, as well as automatic inclusion on a 401(k) retirement package and health plans.

23. Trader Joe's
Trader Joe's grocery chain has proven it's not just for your average Joe, entering into the top 30 in 23rd place for 2019. That's no mean feat as the chain of over 460 stores has over 10,000 employees to keep happy. The store not only offers benefits such as 10% discount on all products, but it reviews salaries twice a year in order to pay well and stay competitive in the employment market, as well as helping its employees to progress.
22. Sammons Financial Group
Another new entry for 2019, Sammons Financial Group comes in at 22. The parent group of several financial institutions, Sammons Financial is known for its caring approach to its employees, in terms of professional and personal growth. Employees praise the group's focus on work-life balance, whether that's an early finish on Fridays or being able to wear more casual clothes.
21. Ryan LLC
The Texas-based global tax firm has entered the top 30 at an impressive 21st place. The business is known for its friendly atmosphere which doesn't measure by hours and where you are working but on the results that you produce. The workplace has not only been recognized by Glassdoor, but Ryan LLC has also received an Alliance Award 2018 for Workplace Excellence.
20. Paylocity
Paylocity has gained nine places in the rankings since 2018, meaning that the cloud-based payroll company remains Illnois' best large company to work for by a long-shot. Its vibrant, positive work culture is a major draw and employees gush about the firm's many attractive perks.

19. McKinsey & Company
The firm may have fallen seven places in the rankings since 2018's rankings, but staff at McKinsey & Company, which is headquartered in New York, are still highly motivated and overwhelmingly content in their roles if the testimonials on Glassdoor are anything to go by. The management consulting firm is notable for providing staff with an absorbing working environment and enviable perks.
18. Ultimate Software
It's perhaps not surprising that the HR-tool and software company, Ultimate Software, knows how to look after its employees. Not only recognized by Glassdoor, Ultimate Software is one of Fortune’s Best Companies to Work For, Best Workplaces for Women, and Great Workplaces for Millennials. Impressive credentials. Employees think so too, with reviews praising the firm's genuine approach to its work, and treatment of staff.
17. DocuSign
The world's leading online document management company is a great place to work, according to its employees. Opportunities to grow and benefits are abundant at the San Francisco-based enterprise. Things are so good DocuSign has jumped up in the rankings from 22nd to 17th since last year.
16. HubSpot
Founded in 2006, marketing, sales and service software provider is one of the younger companies in the top 30. Employees posting on Glassdoor praise how the company listens to them, and that they feel they have a voice and influence in HubSpot's growth.
15. Power Home Remodeling
Featuring in the top 30 for the second year in a row, energy company Power Home Remodeling is known for its promotion of talent, with 90% of executives starting out at entry level with the company. It has also gained the title as Fortune’s number one Workplace for Millennials.
14. Slalom
The American consulting firm which has offices in London, and Canada, as well as the USA, has been named one of Fortune’s 100 Best US Companies to Work for the past three years. Now it enters Glassdoor's top 30 in 14th place. Employees report good benefits and pension scheme, as well as lots of feedback and one-to-one meetings for professional development. Not forgetting the many socials and team-building exercises.

13. St Jude Children's Research Hospital
St Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis is in America's top 30 large employers for the second year in a row. One of the world's top paediatric hospitals, employees report a feeling of reward from working there, as well as excellent opportunities to continue to learn and advance your career.
12. Intuitive Surgical
A pioneer in robot-assisted, and minimally invasive surgery, Intuitive Surgical is another new entry to the top 30 for 2019. Employees report that they work hard, but are rewarded by 'transparency' and the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology.

11. Salesforce
Described as “an awesome place to work” by one of its employees, San Francisco cloud computing company Salesforce has got it going on. The IT firm, which makes its third appearance in the top 30, rising from 15 last year to 11, has a fun but diligent working environment and offers its staff incredible benefits.

10. Southwest Airlines
One of only two airlines to make the top 30, Southwest Airlines consistently features in the Glassdoor round-up and has even garnered the number one airline position, which it last held in 2010. The firm really looks after its employees, who are treated to lavish flight benefits, excellent insurance options, and more.

9. lululemon
The yoga and sports brand has entered the top 30 for the second time, although this year it takes ninth place, falling three places since 2018's ranking. Employees working there praise the brand's culture and encouragement to set and achieve your goals.
8. Google
Google has made an appearance in the top 10 for several years running. A fun, fast-paced and inspirational place to work, the search engine colossus rewards its staff with extra-generous pay and killer perks.
7. Facebook
The best tech employer on the planet, Facebook bagged the number one spot in 2011, 2013 and 2018. However, in 2019's rankings it drops out of the top five. It has experienced some controversy over the past two years, following its potential manipulation during political elections, but it remains a good place to work. 6. LinkedIn
The business-focused social networking site showcases the best business talent and finest employers, so it's only fitting LinkedIn is a great place to work. As you can imagine, the perks, which include generous maternity and paternity leave, free gourmet food and pension plans, are legendary.
