Remember the lickable wallpaper from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory? Swedish Schnapps Brand Flävar certainly got into the "spirit" of April Fools' in 2022 by announcing that it was launching a range of lickable, vodka-flavoured wallpaper designs.
"Our labels were inspired by retro Scandinavian wallpaper so we thought, why not experiment a little and see if we can rethink the schnapps 'drinking' experience", said Brand Director Matt Bandy, who went on to explain that: "People would need to lick at least an average sized living room to feel the effect, which could take a while if you just wanted a couple of pre-drinks before a night out."
Nonetheless, the company joked that it planned to approach IKEA with its drinkable décor.
