The army-inspired RV has an ultra-durable carbon fiber body, a Chevrolet 6500 4WD chassis and a 6.6-litre (1.7gal) Turbo Diesel engine, as well as an array of self-sufficient extras to help you travel off the beaten track for longer.

Inside, the sleek interior blends deep wood tones with stainless steel finishes. The open-plan layout encompasses a dining space, a living area and a spacious kitchen with a three-burner induction stove, a fridge-freezer, a washing machine and an industrial-style sink, as well as plenty of storage space.

The EarthRoamer SX combines a rugged exterior with a very comfortable interior – as we can see from this cosy California King bed. Known for designing custom RVs that can go anywhere, SLRV Expedition created the luxury all-terrain motorhome, Commander 8x8. Encompassing two storeys, the home on wheels is built on the chassis of a military truck and has been described by the company as 'unstoppable'. 

While an earlier model incorporats a retractable floor that can be lifted at the touch of a button to reveal a hidden bedroom, the latest model packs everything you could need onto one level.

Inside, the 26-foot (8m) body benefits from a spacious living area fitted with premium materials and finishes, including Italian leather seating, two 32-inch (81cm) LED TVs and a Fusion Apollo sound system with six speakers.

The kitchen has two double-drawer fridge-freezers, microwave, induction hob and a washer-dryer. Built for lovers of the great outdoors, the Commander 8x8 also comes with an external kitchen kitted out with an electric barbecue, induction cooktop, drawer, sink and foldout benchtop. 

The self-sufficient expedition vehicle is the ideal choice for those seeking a survivalist lifestyle. It includes a state-of-the-art water storage and filtration system and solar panels.

The sleeping arrangements can be customised to suit your needs. The standard option includes a fixed queen-size bed in the master bedroom with an electric guest bed that lowers from the ceiling, while the family configuration has a king-size electric bed and twin bunks.

It's really no wonder that this house on wheels starts at AUD$1,650,500, which is around £838,400 ($1.1m), excluding taxes and duties.

A relatively new name in the world of high-end RVs, Dembell is making waves with its state-of-the-art range of plush land yachts. Their Large Garage model is decked out with some seriously lavish amenities. 

With a price tag of €1.5 million – that's about £1.3 million ($1.7m), the futuristic model is built on a Mercedes-Benz Actros Gigaspace chassis and measures just over 29 feet (8.8m) long and 8.2 feet (2.5m) wide. A sleek aluminium panel across the exterior disguises the RV's party trick – two nifty, hydraulic slide-outs, which expand the interior by a generous 323 square feet (30sqm).  

Sleek, indulgent design defines the RV's contemporary interior. Fold-out illuminated stairs lead up into the extraordinary living space. Luxury touches even extend to the cab at the front, where the four car seats feature individual air-conditioning systems and a massage function. 

With illuminated panels inset into the ceiling, the main hub of the motorhome is streamlined and evocative of a spaceship. The high-end kitchen includes an induction hob, an oven, a concealed sink, a dishwasher drawer and a fridge freezer.

American RV manufacturer Newmar has been hand-making first-class motorhomes for over 50 years. Their crown jewel is the King Aire, a premium land yacht offering an unrivalled luxury experience, thanks to its cutting-edge technology and stylish interior décor.

Described as their most luxurious coach, they’ve improved upon it once more with the 2025 King Aire. The chic coach is 45 feet (13.7m) long and is the firm’s flagship vehicle, offering the ultimate digs for millionaire explorers...

This beautiful bathroom is just as luxe as the rest of the coach. Depending on the floorplan you opt for, you'll get an enormous fully-tiled shower, a trough sink and a cathedral ceiling for added height.
