Every year, Inc. magazine compiles the Inc. 5000, the definitive list of the nation's fastest-growing private companies based on growth over a three-year period. The latest round-up features a variety of booming businesses, from innovative healthcare and tech startups to game-changing construction businesses and quirky consumer goods firms. Read on to discover the most rapidly expanding enterprises in each state plus DC.
Alabama: Southern Veterinary Partners, 2,022%
Founded in 2014, animal hospital network SVP started out with just three hospitals in Alabama and now provides top-class finance, HR, marketing and PR services and more to an impressive 70 facilities spanning 10 states. Partner veterinarians rave about the firm, which turned over $53 million in 2017 and shares their commitment to providing high-quality, compassionate care.
Alaska: ZPA, 139%
ZPA has been in business since 2000 and now owns and operates six eateries and three hotels in the picturesque town of Seward that are doing a roaring trade. The company, which has invested heavily in the local community, reported revenues of $3.1 million in 2017, and is 100% focused on delivering steady, sustainable growth.
Arizona: DEPCOM Power, 38,963%
Established in 2013 by a team of 10 renewable energy industry veterans, DEPCOM Power designs and builds solar power plants in a cost-effective way using the latest technology and know-how. A big success story from the get-go, the company, which is based in sunny Scottsdale, turned over a whopping $219.6 million in 2017.
Arkansas: Elite Senior Care, 2,149%
Elite Senior Care offers older people who require assistance in their day-to-day lives with individualized care and support in their own homes, allowing them to maintain their freedom and independence. Founded in 2013, the Paragould-headquartered enterprise reported revenues of $4.2 million in 2017 and currently operates six offices throughout the Natural State.
California: Flexport, 15,911%
The world's first international freight forwarder and customs brokerage built around an online dashboard, Flexport has enjoyed stellar growth since 2013, the year it was founded. The pioneering San Francisco-based firm had a turnover of $224.7 million in 2017 and its digitized shipping services are positively flourishing.
Colorado: PopSockets, 71,424%
PopSockets makes ingenious little grips, mounts and cases for mobile devices, and originated in 2012 as a Kickstarter campaign by philosophy professor David Barnett. The firm has gone from selling 30,000 grips in 2014 to an eye-opening 35 million in 2017. That same year, PopSockets reported revenues of $168.8 million, and to date, has saved countless screens from cracking.
Connecticut: Current Staffing Solutions, 2,987%
A thriving disability-owned business that turned over $3.2 million in 2017, Connecticut's fastest-growing company is a staffing agency that helps people with disabilities find employment, utilizing the talents of a workforce that is all too often overlooked. The company was founded in 2012 by Bill Evans, who was fired from his previous job after he was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease.
Delaware: HomeStar Remodeling, 4,923%
Founded in 2013, HomeStar Remodeling is a Delaware firm that prides itself on treating customers and staff like family, going the extra mile to ensure each and every roof, window, siding and door-fitting project is undertaken with the utmost care and attention. No wonder the Wilmington-based company is doing so well, having turned over $5.3 million in 2017.
DC: A. Prentice Ray & Associates, 7,525%
As might be expected, DC's fastest-growing firm provides services to the federal government, ranging from communications and property management, to cybersecurity and app development. Established in 2008 by Angela Prentice, the super-successful firm has gone from strength to strength over the past decade, and reported revenues of $9.3 million in 2017.
Florida: Inova US, 13,135%
Florida's Inova US was also set up in 2008 and like A. Prentice Ray & Associates, the company, which offers direct marketing of products advertised on TV that encompass home fitness, health and beauty and cookware, has enjoyed phenomenal growth. The Key Biscayne-based firm pulled in revenues of $39.4 million in 2017.
Georgia: Aeronux Airways, 20,005%
This private jet flight broker, which is based at Cobb International Airport in Kennesaw, was co-founded in 2011 by Iranian-born entrepreneur Kambiz Khadem, and has been raking it in ever since. Shaking up the airline industry and then some, the company turned over $21.9 million in 2017.
Hawaii: Na Ali'i Consulting and Sales, 941%
The Aloha Sate's fastest-growing firm has a name that means 'royalty' in the Hawaiian language, which reflects its dedication to providing superior consulting services to private and public entities. Established by Cariann Ah Loo in 2003, the Honolulu-headquartered enterprise is committed to supporting the economic advancement of Native Hawaiians. It had revenues of $34.6 million in 2017.
Idaho: ConvertKit, 4,270%
ConvertKit is a clever software tool that helps businesses manage and grow their subscribers lists. The Boise-based company was founded in 2013 by author Nathan Barry with just $5,000. By 2017, the company was turning over $9.3 million and counted 18,000 happy customers, and is expected to report revenues exceeding $14 million for 2018 when the figures are announced.
Illinois: Home Chef, 60,166%
One of America's leading meal kit delivery firms, Home Chef was established in 2013 in Chicago by foodie Pat Vihtelic and has since taken the nation by storm. Rocking the second highest revenues in this round-up, the company, which was snapped up by Kroger last year for $200 million, turned over $255 million in 2017, and now delivers more than three million meals a month.
Indiana: The Garrett Companies, 14,822%
Founded in 2012 by Eric Garrett, this Greenwood-based real estate firm designs, constructs and manages apartment complexes, and unlike other companies in the industry, it does everything in-house. This unique business model has resulted in exceptional growth, with revenues skyrocketing from $550,000 in 2014 to $82.1 million in 2017.
Iowa: Ivy Lane, 621%
This Des Moines-based firm operates 36 Valvoline Instant Oil Change franchises across three states. The company was established in 2012 and started out with just five locations. It earned Valvoline's New Franchisee Rookie of the Year award during its first 12 months in business, and was turning over $23.7 million by 2017.
Kansas: Mer-Sea & Co., 1,750%
Kansas may be more than 1,000 miles away from the ocean, but that didn't stop entrepreneurs Melanie Bolin, Lina Dickinson and Stephanie Lawrence from setting up their sea and beach-inspired gift company in the state. Founded in 2012, the Lenexa-headquartered company, which sells scented candles, room sprays, travel wraps and more, reported revenues of $6.6 million in 2017.
Kentucky: Cuddle Clones, 583%
Kentucky's fastest-growing company is most definitely the quirkiest in this round-up. Based in Louisville, Cuddle Clones creates custom soft toy copies of pets. Customers simply provide pictures of their favorite companion animal and Cuddle Clones does the rest. The kooky firm, which was set up in 2012 by Jennifer Williams, has been a resounding success and turned over $2.5 million in 2017.
Louisiana: Pelican Waste & Debris, 1,559%
Pelican Waste & Debris was founded by a team of five refuse pros in 2013, and the firm, which provides residential and commercial waste and debris removal, has since smashed the competition, reporting revenues of $11.4 million in 2017. The Houma-headquartered company has a strong commitment to protecting the environment and disposing of waste in a responsible way.
Maine: SaviLinx, 812%
Comeback queen Heather Blease had a brief stint in jail when her first company went bankrupt, but turned it around spectacularly after founding SaviLinx in 2013. The tech-support firm, which is based in Brunswick, has developed a formidable client base in the private and public sectors, and pulled in revenues of $10.5 million in 2017.

Maryland: Mindoula Health, 7,310%
This futuristic healthcare company provides tech-enabled care and case management support to people with behavioral challenges 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Launched in 2013 with just one employee and a PowerPoint deck, the next generation service, which is headquartered in Silver Spring, turned over $8 million in 2017, and now boasts a staff of 87.
Massachusetts: Curate Partners, 10,057%
This people-first recruitment company specializes in filling roles in the IT consulting and digital sector, and according to a review on Glassdoor “does right what every other in the industry does wrong”. Established in 2014 by five industry veterans, the Stoneham-based human resources enterprise reported revenues of $12.3 million in 2017.
Michigan: Shefit, 2,770%
Founded by former Miss Teen Michigan, competitive weightlifter and inventor Sara Moylan in 2012, Shefit is a sports bra company that bagged a lucrative $250,000 investment after appearing on ABC's Shark Tank show in 2015. Since then, the company has enjoyed amazing growth, and was turning over $3 million by 2017.

Minnesota: The Media Manager, 3,562%
The North Star State's fastest-growing company is a Rochester-based advertising and marketing firm that specializes in direct response media buying and campaign strategy. Set up in 2014 by extra-savvy business leader Brian Bos, The Media Manager reported bumper revenues of $7.1 million in 2017.
Mississippi: Kopis Mobile, 738%
Supporting America's soldiers, first responders and security personnel, Kopis Mobile makes networked, app-enabled equipment that improves efficiency, awareness and above all, safety. The company, which was established in Flowood in 2013, has garnered investment from the Mississippi Seed Fund and turned over $2 million in 2017.
Missouri: Need/Want, 3,506%
This St Louis-based company produces a range of innovative problem-solving products, from ultra-thin smartphone cases and a paper notebook that syncs to the cloud to easy-make bed sheets. Founded in 2014 by Texan serial entrepreneur Marshall Haas, the ultra-creative firm pulled in revenues of $5 million in 2017.
Montana: XY Planning Network, 2,571%
Baby boomers look away now. XY Planning network is America's number one organization of fee-only financial advisors serving generation X and Y investors. Founded by Alan Moore in 2014, the Bozeman-headquartered firm has proved a big hit with those under 57, and turned over $3.2 million in 2017.
Nebraska: Flywheel, 1,445%
Located in the Silicon Prairie hub of Omaha, Flywheel is a tech company that creates tools that allow internet users to build, launch and maintain WordPress sites. Set up by tech start-up enthusiast Dusty Davidson in 2012, the fledgling firm was reporting revenues of $8.8 million by 2017.

Nevada: Lo70s, 9,154%
Nevada's fastest-growing firm is the second fastest-growing advertising and marketing company in the country. Launched in 2013, Lo70s is a performance video platform that specializes in media monetization. The brainchild of media trio Jim Battista, Alexander Renzi and JT Dominick, the Henderson-headquartered business turned over $30.3 million in 2017.
New Hampshire: PoliteMail Software, 490%
PoliteMail Software provides organizations with all the know-how and tools to measure and improve their Microsoft Outlook email broadcasts to employees. The company, which continuously innovates and refines its services, was founded in 2006 in Greenland, and reported revenues of $3.6 million in 2017.
New Jersey: Momentum Solar, 4,617%
Renewable energy is a huge growth industry, so it comes as no surprise that there are several companies in this round-up involved in solar power. New Jersey's most rapidly growing firm does everything from designing to installing solar panels. Founded in 2009, the South Plainfield-based business turned over $107.5 million in 2017 and recently scored a multimillion-dollar investment.
New Mexico: Burgos Group, 183%
Established in 2006, Albuquerque's Burgos Group provides construction services to the Department of Defense and other federal entities, not to mention a slew of private clients. Mario Burgos' eponymous firm now operates in seven states and reported revenues of $22.6 million in 2017.
New York: THINX, 10,924%
New York's fastest-growing company produces extra-absorbent period underwear and has amassed a devoted fan base since its launch in 2014, thanks in part to its provocative and taboo-shattering ad campaigns. Founded by New Yorker Maria Holland, the groundbreaking feminine hygiene firm turned over $39.6 million in 2017.
North Carolina: Pine Gate Renewables, 3,940%
Another solar power company, Pine Gate Renewables develops 2-25 MW utility-scale solar farms, providing communities with affordable clean energy. Based in Charlotte, the firm, which is headed by passionate solar energy advocate Zoe Gamble Hanes, was founded in 2014 and pulled in revenues of $9.7 million in 2017.
North Dakota: CoSchedule, 2,771%
CoSchedule is the firm behind “the web's favorite marketing calendar”, an app that allows users to plan and execute their marketing strategy with ease. Founded by marketing experts Garrett Moon and Justin Walsh in 2012, the Bismarck-based company turned over $4.8 million in 2017 and currently serves 7,000 customers worldwide.
Ohio: Trupet, 6,754%
Anti-ageing dog food may seem like a curious business idea to the average person, but Miford's Trupet has based a very successful business around the concept. Established in 2013 by animal-lover Lori R Taylor, the nutrition-focused pet food company, which also sells supplements and grooming supplies, reported revenues of $8.8 million in 2017.
Oklahoma: Big Elk Energy Systems, 3,152%
The fastest-growing manufacturer in this round-up, Big Elk Energy Systems makes pipeline equipment for the energy industry at its plant in west Tulsa. Set up in 2013 by Geoff Hager, who named the firm after his Native American ancestor Chief Big Elk, the company turned over $20.6 million in 2017.
Oregon: Cura Cannabis Solutions, 5,961%
Legal pot is one of America's key growth industries and Portland's Cura Cannabis Solutions has emerged as one of the sector's biggest players. Founded in 2014, the company develops and markets cannabis oil to customers and edible brands, and reported revenues of $38.9 million in 2017.

Pennsylvania: PANTHERx Specialty Pharmacy, 5,436%
PANTHERx Specialty Pharmacy provides medicine and care for patients living with rare diseases. Headquartered in Pittsburgh, the company, which has become a lifeline for people with uncommon illnesses that regular pharmacies struggle to treat, was established in 2011 and turned over $454.3 million in 2017, more than any other firm in this round-up.
Rhode Island: ChartWise Medical Systems, 172%
The fastest-growing company in America's smallest state is ChartWise Medical Systems, a medical software firm that has developed a cutting-edge web-based solution for diagnostic and clinical documentation operations. Founded by top physician Jonathan Elion MD. In 2009, the business pulled in revenues of $6.3 million in 2017.
South Carolina: Parrish and Partners, 3,422%
This engineering consulting firm, which is based in Columbia, has made a name for itself tackling the most challenging and complex aviation, highway and bridge projects. Established in 2013 by civil engineer Ed Parrish, the company was turning over $18.6 million by 2017, and was recently honored by SC Biz News and the SC Chamber of Commerce as one of the state's best employers.
South Dakota: VRC Metal Systems, 766%
An advanced materials processing technology manufacturer, Rapid City's VRC Metals Systems is revolutionizing the way metals are repaired and maintained. Founded in 2013 by metals experts Bob Hrabe and Christian Widener, the company has commercialized a patent-pending cold spray coating process and reported revenues of $7.3 million in 2017.
Tennessee: Moore Advanced, 3,391%
Like VRC Metal Systems, Moore Advanced also uses patent-pending technology and has experienced enviable growth as a result. The staffing firm has developed a unique system to provide logistics companies with the best possible staff at the lowest cost. Set up in 2013 by 18-year-old high school dropout Hunter Moore, the Memphis company turned over $12.6 million in 2017.
Texas: Monkedia, 4,395%
The most rapidly growing Texan company, Monkedia is a social media-orientated 'anti-agency' based out of Irving that helps businesses expand their social media presence and increase online traffic, engagement and sales. The firm was founded in 2014 and was already turning over $12 million by 2017.
Utah: Podium, 13,645%
Podium was set up in 2014 in Lehi by Eric Rea and Dennis Steele, who were looking for a way to help offline businesses engage with their customers more effectively and improve their online reviews and reputations. The pair developed a cloud-based platform and haven't looked back. In 2017, the company reported revenues of $30.2 million and now boasts hundreds of thousands of clients.
Vermont: BlackRock Construction, 167%
Founded in 2012 by former RE/MAX employee Adam Hergenrother, South Burlington's BlackRock Construction is a custom homebuilder that has enjoyed steady growth and has won several awards to boot. Making its second appearance on the Inc. 5000 list, the company turned over $4.5 million in 2017.
Virginia: DGC International, 14,476%
Based in the Washington DC suburb of Vienna, DGC International provides intel, transportation, logistics and other key services to the US military and federal agencies. Established in 2010 by Afghanistan-born entrepreneur Mustafa Zamani, the firm pulled in revenues of $179.7 million in 2017, up from $1.1 million in 2012.

Washington States' fastest-growing company is a residential and commercial heating and air conditioning provider that operates in the Vancouver and Portland metro areas. Founded in 2014 by two HVAC professionals with decades of combined experience, the business turned over $11.6 million in 2017 and has cultivated a reputation for providing superior service and customer care.
West Virginia: Mountain State Software Solutions (MS3), 4,244%
Mountain State Software Solutions (MS3) launched in 2009 offering seamless integration, cloud, portal and big data services for the federal government. Headquartered in Ranson, not far from Washington DC, the firm is headed by software whiz Aaron Weikle, and reported revenues of $7.7 million in 2017.
Wisconsin: SwanLeap, 75,661%
Wowing investors with a three-year growth topping 75,661%, SwanLeap is America's fastest-growing company. Founded by Brad Hollister in 2013, the unstoppable Madison-based company uses artificial intelligence-powered tech to simplify global shipping logistics, and had a turnover of $99 million in 2017.

Established in 2007 by business credit expert Ari Page, the Cheyenne-headquartered firm has helped thousands of businesses and individuals make their financial dreams possible, and reported revenues of $5.7 million in 2017.
