ASOS money-saving tips and tricks

Updated on 23 October 2017

From joining the A-List to using the US site instead of the UK one, here’s how to saving money on your next online shopping trip to ASOS.

Sign up to the newsletter

When you sign up to the ASOS newsletter you’ll be one of the first to know about sales and offers.

Subscribers are also often treated to discount codes. We’ve seen ones to celebrate payday as well as in the run-up to key shopping periods throughout the year like bank holidays and Christmas.

If you’re worried about your inbox getting flooded by ASOS emails, consider setting up an alternative address to keep them separate.

Use your A-list vouchers and privileges

The ASOS A-List is a free loyalty scheme for UK customers that is well worth taking advantage of.

Unlike other loyalty schemes, shoppers are automatically enrolled into the A-List scheme when they place an order and you must actively opt-out if you’re not interested in the benefits.

The scheme allows you to earn five points for every £1 you spend. For every 500 points (which equates to a £100 spend) you’ll earn a £5 voucher, which lasts for six months.

The loyalty scheme is tiered so that, the more you spend, the more perks you can unlock. Below is a rundown of the benefits of each tier.

Get ASOS Premier Delivery

If you’re a regular ASOS shopper you should sign up to ASOS Premier Delivery.

It costs £9.95 and offers free unlimited standard, next day and nominated day delivery (apart from public holidays) for an entire year.

ASOS says the scheme saves customers up to £5.95 per order so you only need to make two orders in a year for the cost of the membership to pay off.

There’s no limit on how many items you order and you can use it as many times as you like within the 12-month membership period.

It’s worth pointing out that ASOS Premium Delivery won’t automatically renew after it expires, so you won’t be caught out a year down the line like with some other delivery saver services.

Register for the student discount

Students get 10% off at ASOS.

You just need to complete the form with a student email address and you’ll get the 10% discount right up until you graduate.

Earn cashback on purchases

You should always check if you can earn cashback on your purchases by shopping through tracked links available with Quidco or TopCashback.

At the moment Quidco is offering 10% cashback at ASOS and TopCashback is offering 10.5%. However, both offers are for new customer sales.

If you’re not a new customer you can still get money back using a cashback credit card. You can compare deals using the loveMONEY comparison centre.

Use the filters

If you have a budget and want to avoid overspending use the filters to make sure you don’t get distracted by items that aren’t really in your price range.

They’re also handy for only showing things in the size and colour you want too.
