NOW TV daily and weekly pass prices rise
NOW TV has raised the price of the Sky Sports Day Pass and the Sky Sports Week Pass.
A Sky Sports Day Pass is now £7.99, up from £6.99 and a week pass is £12.99, up from £10.99.
With the NOW TV packages, your deal automatically rolls on from month to month. Unfortunately, that can land you in a payment trap which drains your cash.
If you get caught out, you don’t have to settle for a price hike – here’s how you can get NOW TV for less.
Buy a box with a pass included
Use gift cards
Gift cards tend to have slightly lower prices than the standard passes available when your trial period ends.
For example, you can buy a two-month cinema gift card from NOW TV for £15, whereas the monthly rolling cost is £7.99 (or £15.98 for two months).

Look out for offers
It always pays to keep your eyes peeled. You might find offers online, on the side of a bus or on the good word of a friend.
TopCashback and Quidco have a range of cashback offers for buying NowTV passes. A quick glance at these sites shows you can currently earn up to £12 cashback depending on the type of pass you want to sign up for.
All you have to do is sign up to Topcashback or Quidco and buy a pass as normal through one of their tracked links.
Sign up for emails
If you sign up to NOW TV’s marketing emails, you’ll be notified of the latest deals.
Even though the best offers are geared towards newbies, you’ll find a few floating around for existing customers.
To opt into emails, head to My Account and click on the account details page to change your settings.
Haggle for a cheaper Now TV deal
It’s age-old advice, but it still works. When you say that you want to terminate your contract, NOW TV will offer you a better one to convince you to stay, at least based on anecdotal evidence.
Tend to lose your nerve on the phone? You could haggle via NOW TV’s online chat as that’s where other customers have reported the most success.
But if you’re going to use the phone, remember to ring up at a quiet time, such as mid-morning on a weekday. It’s best that you don’t try and fill uncomfortable gaps with talking; let them make you an offer.
Scribble down what you want to say before you ring – and remember to get key phrases like ‘I want to leave’ and ‘I’ve found a better deal elsewhere’ in there.

Review how you watch TV
Looking at how you watch TV could save you money on parts of the service you don’t use. Boxset binge-watchers may be better off getting a week or a month-long pass, depending on how fast they usually watch boxsets.
Similarly, if you only watch the odd football match here and there, the Sky Sports Day Pass is a decent option at £7.99 – the same price as a couple of pints down your local.
