Last chance for Tesco Clubcard rail and Christmas deals

You only have until tomorrow to exchange your Clubcard vouchers to treble their value on rail travel and double their value on selected Tesco products. Here's what you need to do.

If you have Tesco Clubcard vouchers, tomorrow (1 December) is your last chance to exchange them for three times their value in rail discount vouchers. It’s also your final opportunity to exchange them for twice their value to spend in store and online in selected departments.

Let’s look at the very attractive discount rail travel deal first. We wrote about this in detail in this article. In a nutshell, every £10 in Clubcard vouchers you have is worth £30 in online discount vouchers at train booking site redspottedhanky.com. Until tomorrow, that is. After then, £10 will be worth £20.

However, if you exchange your vouchers for redspottedhanky vouchers before the deadline they will be valid for six months. So you don’t have to rush to book, but it’s worth making a note of the expiry date so you use them in time.

And there’s more good news as, unlike some of their competitors such as thetrainline.com, redspottedhanky doesn’t charge any payment or booking fees.

How the Christmas Big Exchange works

In terms of the Christmas Clubcard voucher exchange, there are two promotions running. The first turns every £5 in Clubcard vouchers into £10 Exchange tokens to spend on selected products in selected departments. The departments in this promotion are: clothing; skincare, cosmetics and fragrance; opticians; phones and toys and bikes.

And the second turns £10 in Clubcard vouchers into £20 Exchange tokens. These can be spent on: Finest wine and champagne; furniture; cook, dine and home; and small domestic appliances and personal electrical. Note that £5 and £10 are the minimum you need to exchange for each respective promotion.

There’s a full list of what you can and cannot redeem the Exchange tokens on at the Clubcard website. You can exchange them in store or online. If you do it online, you’ll be sent eCoupons, which you can redeem online by entering the codes at the online checkout.

However, you only have until 6 December to redeem your Exchange tokens, so be quick!
