As the summer sales draw to a close, retailers are slashing prices even further. This week's highlights include electrical goods, footwear and plenty of home entertainment goodies.

Let's kick off with Tesco Direct and its massive catalogue clearance sale.

If you're looking to spruce up your home and garden, it's definitely worth checking out the range of reduced DIY goods on offer. And if you're planning to re-paint your whole house, you could save a packet - there's a big range of paint, all reduced by 50%.

In the PC, photo and gaming section, you can now pick up this Dell Inspiron 530 base unit for just £299.

And if it's home entertainment you're after, check out this Spider-Man 1-3 box set - available from Tesco Jersey for a very tasty £5. Hoorah!

More cheap DVDs are currently on offer at Base.com. At the moment, you can pick up 5 DVDs for just £15. There's a huge range on offer, so you should be able to find the perfect bargain for you.

Elsewhere, footwear enthusiasts may want to have another look in Office. More lines have recently added to its huge summer sale, and you can now pick up these Havaianas flip-flops for £8, or these cute boots for just £12. Get rummaging!

On a different note, a range of affordable skincare products are currently on offer at Lidl. These include Anti-Wrinkle Night Cream Q10 for just £1.89, Simple shower gel for 99p and toner for £1.49.

Now one for the sprogs: This Pirates Of The Caribbean Empress Ship is currently just £7.99 at Argos - that's a whopping £32 off the original selling price.

And finally, one for Fools planning to travel in the UK. The Mirror newspaper has teamed up with National Express to offer UK coach trips from just £1 each way.

You can get £1 fares on over 80 routes if you sign up before July 19th and book your trip before August 12th. As usual, just make sure you read all the terms and conditions carefully - for example, trips to and from airports aren't included.

Offers Which Continue To Be Valid:

DVDs, games and music

As always, the internet is awash with great deals on DVDs, CDs and computer games right now.

First up, Asda's sale selection of Xbox 360 games is worth a look if you've got the console. Games start at £7.93, and some are less than half price.

Elsewhere, Argos is offering Resident Evil IV for the Wii at the reduced price of £19.73 -- that's £10 cheaper than the RRP.

Lovers of Noel Edmonds (?) and retro TV might get a kick out of this Telly Addicts game for the Play Station 2. It's a bargainous £1.99 from TheGameCollection.net. The site has a host of other offers on Nintendo DS, Xbox 360, Wii and Play Station 3 games.

Film fans looking to get hold of the Oscar-winning movie There Will Be Blood on DVD might want to consider ordering it from MovieMail-Online.co.uk, where it's available for £11.99 delivered. That's a saving of £6 off the RRP, and the best deal I've found on the web.

Another brilliant deal is back on at HMV.com. I originally mentioned the Cracker: Complete Collection box set in a Money Saving Tips article a few weeks back -- and the offer disappeared at lightning speed! Now, the DVDs are back down to just £24.99 -- a saving of a whopping £95 off the RRP -- so if you want `em, start clicking now!

Finally, there are still decent discounts to be had on CDs at both HMV.com and Zavvi -- where the Editors' album The Back Room is just £2.99.

For the kids

Tesco Direct have slashed their prices on a selection of outdoor children's toys -- most are half price.

Elsewhere The Disney Store has discounted a wide variety of children's toys, clothing and accessories. Many items have 50% off.

Walkers is offering 2 for 1 entry to a range of top attractions, including Alton Towers, Thorpe Park and Warwick Castle. Just look for the voucher on promotional packs of crisps, and take it with you when you go. The terms and conditions of the offer can be seen here. Please note, certain dates are restricted.

Home and garden

Posh furniture and accessory emporium The Pier has started its sale so there's up to 70% off a range of furniture, textiles, tableware and other nick nacks.

There are also some great bargains to be had in the half price sale at Argos. This Power Juicer is half price at £49.99, as is this Energi Easy Clean Health Grill, £19.99.

Woolworths is also having an online clear-out, with fantastic offers on a range of goods. Anyone looking to buy an electric fan won't go far wrong with this stylish chrome number, reduced by £19.99 to £15. This retro two-slice toaster from Russell Hobbs is also reduced by more than half -- it's now £9.99 -- and this set of two Pyrex dishes, £5.50, has 50% off.

Fashion and beauty

Hobbs has slashed the price of its sale items further, and the folks at La Senza have gone lingerie loco -- they're selling pretty pairs of knickers for just 99p each!

Entering the sale race slightly late are Jigsaw and Accessorize. Both have cut the price of selected items, though Jigsaw's discounts are only available in store.

Monsoon has also cut prices on some of its childrenswear, while Adams is currently offering a 3 for 2 deal on schoolwear...before the summer holidays even start!

And, for all you lovers of swanky skin-care and make-up, there are two interesting offers this week. First up, Boots.com is offering a bonus of 1000 extra Advantage Card points -- £10 worth -- when you buy three premium beauty items online (one to be skincare).

And The Sanctuary, one of London's most famous spas is offering a range of discounts on treatments plus a 3 for 2 offer on its products. So, you can pamper yourself for less whether you're in the city or at home!

Asda has come up trumps with a few delicious offers on food this week.

Jacques fruit cider is just £2 per bottle at the moment -- so it's a cheap and cheerful weekend drink for those with a sweet tooth.

British strawberries are also reduced to £1 right now. So what if Wimbledon's over?

And the newly launched Thorntons chocolate brownies are also on special offer. Chocoholics can get hold of 12 for £1. Delicious!
