Current Discounts And Deals #63
From £2 ferry journeys to half price mobile broadband, we've got it all in our midweek discounts and deals...
Phew! Wasn't this weekend a scorcher? But as Britain cools down after the mini heatwave, here are our latest midweek discounts and deals to keep those fingers clicking.
If you fancy taking a trip across the channel but don't want to break the bank, P & O Ferries is offering trips from Dover to Calais for just £2 for foot passengers and from £15 for cars carrying up to nine people.
Foot passengers must travel between Monday to Thursday, departing after 8.25am and returning before 9pm on the same day. Similar restrictions apply to those travelling by car, so make sure you read the terms and conditions before booking.
Sticking with travel, budget airline Ryanair is maintaining its vow to keep airfares low with another offer, this time with flights to both France and Ireland from just £10 return. As ever, school holidays and other peak periods are excluded from the deal, so check out the dates before booking.
If you're looking for cheap mobile broadband, why not opt for a dongle from 3? At the moment you can bag this nifty model for just £7.50 a month, that's half the price you'd pay normally.
There are some summer deals to sink your teeth into if you sign up to lastminute.com's unleash summer offer. Register and you'll qualify for a range of offers including 20% off at Uniqlo and 15% off at Superdrug when you spend £35 or more.
If your car insurance is nearly up for renewal, the Co-op is giving away a free TomTom One when you purchase a car insurance policy online. Remember, car insurance quotes can vary, so remember to compare quotes before being tempted by freebies alone.
Finally, with data storage at a premium these days, you can pick up this 8GB flash drive from Play.com for just £13.99.
Offers which continue to be valid:
The Hut has a host of DVDs on offer from just £2.93 each -- and on some movies, that's a whopping saving of 85% off the RRP. My top picks are Notting Hill, Jarhead and The Big Lebowski -- all are under £3!
Over at Zavvi, there are a couple of great offers on box sets. Seasons one and two of Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant's hilarious Extras are available for £7.99 -- a reduction of £20 off the RRP. The Alien Vs. Predator box set, which contains all seven films featuring the scary duo, is now reduced by £49 to £10.99.
Here's a nifty website highlighted by Fool reader steviewunda. Offer Of The Day lists a range of bargain items from retailers including Argos, John Lewis and Tesco. Latest offers include this Pro Evolution football from Argos for just £2.49.
Voucher code heaven can be found at myvouchercodes.co.uk, a website which lists a range of discount codes and printable vouchers to help you save on your everyday shopping. You may also want to check out codes.co.uk and hotukdeals.com.
And Amazon fans looking for a bargain should take note of Price Cut Review, a nifty website that lists all current Amazon products selling at half price or less.
Next time you're sipping your coffee in McDonalds, bear in mind that the chain offers free coffee refills to all its customers. It's a policy not many people know about, as many take their coffee away anyway. However, if you fancy chilling out for a bit, why not take advantage of the policy? I popped into my local McDonalds this morning to check the offer really does exist.
Last but not least, here's one for the Londoners among us. If you live or regularly commute to the capital and hold a HM Forces, disabled persons, senior or 16 - 25 railcard -- as well as getting a third off your rail travel, you are also entitled to 34% off the regular off-peak Oyster daily price cap for pay as you go use.
You will need to register your Oyster card at a tube, London overground or selected national rail office to qualify. Full details of the offer can be found here.
