Tesco Mobile offers free broadband for a year

Updated on 25 September 2012 | 4 Comments

The supermarket giant is giving free broadband for 12 months to its mobile phone customers.

Tesco Mobile is to offer all of its customers free broadband for a full year.

The supermarket giant's mobile network has 3.2 million customers, across pay monthly, pay-as-you-go and SIM-only deals. And all of them will be offered unlimited broadband for a year.

While the broadband won’t cost you a penny, there is £13.75 a month line rental to pay. However, at £165 for a full year’s access to the net, that represents a pretty special deal. And you don’t just get broadband – the package includes your home phone, with free evening and weekend calls.

All you need to do to take advantage of the deal is head to tescobroadband.com/mobile and follow the instructions.

The deal runs until 31st December and you earn three Clubcard points for every £1 you spend. Just make sure you can leave your current provider before you switch.

Of course, if you aren’t a Tesco Mobile customer and don’t fancy switching, it’s not much of an option. So let’s see how it compares to some of the best-value broadband deals on the market. (Note that these are broadband and home phone packages)
