Current Discounts And Deals #69

Whether you're staying in our going out, here's our latest discounts and deals to keep your wallet happy this weekend.

It's the last weekend of August, which means our summer (or lack of it) is coming to an end. However, just because the weather has proved disappointing, that doesn't mean the summer deals have to be! Here are our latest discounts and deals for the weekend.

Ryanair is once again defying all logic this weekend, and despite the demise of fellow budget airline Zoomair, has launched a £1 seat sale which lasts until Sunday.

The price includes all taxes, fees, and charges. However, you must travel between 15th September and 31st October, and as ever, peak times such as school holidays are excluded from the offer.

On the other end of the scale, British Airways is currently offering a sale on hundreds of business class seats. The sale ends 23rd September, so if you fancy travelling in style, why not take a look?

Fares are cheaper than you think, with a return business class flight to Tunisia costing from just £399 return, including taxes.

If, however you prefer to stay in the UK, National Express has 25,000 coach seats (single, one way) on offer for just £1. They can be used for travel between 18th August and 30th September, with booking required by 14th September.

And, one more tip Laura Starkey highlighted in the last instalment is great for anyone who's too forgetful to book their train tickets in advance.

Ticket Alert at Thetrainline.com will email you as soon as cheap advance tickets become available for your trip. All you have to do is fill in the details of the journey(s) you intend to make, and the site will do the rest for you!

Play.com are currently running an `Everything for £5' sale where, you guessed it, everything costs £5! You can get your mitts on everything from books, DVDs, gadgets, music and even clothing, all for a just fiver.

Sticking with Play, the online entertainment guru has a range of DVDs for just £2.99. Bargains include Training Day, Demolition Man, and my personal favourite (but at a slightly pricier £3.99) Happy Feet!

If that £2.99 deal wasn't enough, here's another one! HMV has followed in Play's footsteps and has its own selection of bargain DVDs, including chick flick In Her Shoes, Jerry Maguire and cult classic Donnie Darko.

Alternatively, why not reminisce with some of these bargain retro DVDs? Blasts from the pasts include all seven series of Only Fools and Horses from WH Smith for just £39.99, that's £50 off the RRP.  Alternatively, who remembers Eerie Indiana? You can relive all episodes of this 90s TV show for just £7.99, again from Play.com.

Finally, for those looking for a mega storage solution, Amazon is currently selling this one terabyte external hard drive for just £89.99.

If you want an idea of just how much storage that is, one terabyte = 1024GB, which is around ten times the storage space most PCs come equipped with. That's some serious room for your files, photos, movies, or in fact anything you can think of!

Offers which continue to be valid:

Argos also has an attractive offer on this stylish Philips mp3 player, half price at £24.99. With its 2GB memory it will store around 500 songs, and also has an FM tuner and video capability.

Anyone in need of a new camera may find themselves temped by PC World's offer on this Samsung P1000. With 10 mega pixel resolution, face recognition technology and a 2.5 inch LCD screen, it's been reduced by £90 -- so it's now a bargainous £89.99.

And at Woolworths, this deluxe inflatable bed is reduced by a whopping 75%, from £39.99 to £9.99. If you ever have friends to stay, it's handy to have one of these in your cupboard. I do, and it's been well used over the past year -- and I'm reliably informed it's very comfortable, too.

Anyone who loves Hugh Laurie's misanthropic doctor House might also love this next offer: WHSmith.co.uk has reduced this seasons one to three box set by a hefty 65%. It's down from £69.99 to £24.49, so fans will now get more medical mysteries for their money.

Blackleaf.com has a selection of Converse trainers with up to 50% off -- great news for anyone in need of a cheap and chic casual wardrobe update.

If you might be tempted by some luxurious lingerie, this next offer could be right up your street: Agent Provocateur is offering up to 70% off selected items in its underwear range.

Voucher code heaven can be found at myvouchercodes.co.uk, a website which lists a range of discount codes and printable vouchers to help you save on your everyday shopping. You may also want to check out codes.co.uk and hotukdeals.com.

And Amazon fans looking for a bargain should take note of Price Cut Review, a nifty website that lists all current Amazon products selling at half price or less.
