Current Discounts And Deals #75
Want some free pay as you go credit, 2 for 1 at Strada or an England shirt for under a fiver? Look no further. These deals are just one click away...
I don't know about you, but it's certainly getting a lot colder around here. So, as winter takes a tentative knock at our doors, here's our latest money saving tips to hopefully bring you some warmth this weekend.
If the credit crunch has left you dining in a little bit more often, why not treat yourself to this 2 for 1 deal at Strada, where you can munch despite the crunch on all main meals until 23rd October.
The deal comes courtesy of Handbag.com, and is valid at all restaurants except Center Parcs from Sunday to Thursday.
Lad mag lovers listen up. Greatmagazines.co.uk currently has a special offer where you can get twelve issues of FHM plus Rainbow 6 Vegas 2 on the Xbox 360 for just £20.
If you're looking for a new mobile number for you or someone in your family - or just an excuse to make some calls on the cheap, Woolworths is currently offering this 3 SIM card loaded with £30 credit for you to use at your leisure.
And the best thing about it? The whole pack will only set you back £19.99. That's an extra £10 credit for free!
Bear in mind that Woolworths charges £4.95 for delivery, which will eat into the savings you'll make. However, you can have the SIM delivered to your local store for no extra charge.
If that doesn't entice you, then perhaps this next deal from Ikea will. One of the newest entrants to the mobile market, Ikea's Family Mobile tariff has a flat rate of 9p a minute for all UK calls, and 6p per text.
This is still slightly more expensive than the cheapest flat rate on the market, offered by Asda mobile (8p for calls, 4p for texts). However, the first 10,000 customers to sign up to the Ikea tariff will get £20 credit with a £10 starter pack, which includes a SIM to get you up and running.
England may have had a pretty dismal year in terms of football, but with only two competitive games left in 2008, if you're looking to pick up a cheap England shirt, Sports Direct is selling the current short sleeved home shirt for just £4.49. That's £40 less than the recommended retail price.
For those looking to pick up a bargain at the mid-season sales, Debenhams has up to 70% off a huge range of items, including homeware, clothing and gifts for all. In addition, enter the code CHA1 to get free delivery on your purchase.
Findmeagift.co.uk also has up to 70% off a wide range of gifts and gadgetry. I would give you a few examples of what's on offer, but on this occasion, I think you'd find it more amusing to see for yourself. Enter the promotional code SUMMER to get an extra £5 off a £25 spend.
Monsoon has also jumped on the sale bandwagon, with up to 50% off a range of items, including this classic embroidered dress, half price at £42.50.
Avid gamers might like to know that The Game Collection is currently selling any three games from a selected range for just £20. If you're a student, you can get an extra 10% off the selling price, bringing the total down to £18.
Sendit.com has a 75% end of summer sale on a range of DVDs, games, CDs and electronics, including these five movie boxsets from Hollywood giants Robert De Niro and Al Pacino for just £17.49 and £16.89 respectively.
And finally, if you thought Guitar Hero was fun, wait until you see this.
Now you can assemble your very own group with Rock Band on the XBOX. Tesco Direct is currently selling the set, which includes a bass and electric guitar, drum kit and microphone for £97.71. Endless fun - though I have a funny feeling your neighbours wouldn't be too pleased...
Offers which continue to be valid:
This iVoice iPod dock is reduced by £60 to £39.99 at Amazon. It comes with a mini remote control and is compatible with all iPod formats, including the Touch, Classic, Nano 3rd Generation and all previous 30 Pin Dock versions.
At Play.com, fantasy-lovers can pick up the extended editions box set of the Lord of the Rings trilogy. Buyers will get all 12 discs of action for £17.99 -- 60% less than the RRP.
This Johnny Depp Collection, now £7.99 at HMV.com, should give female Fools plenty to smile about this weekend. It contains the films Edward Scissorhands, From Hell and Before Night Falls -- and fans will save £17 on the box set's RRP.
One of the best offers I found for last week's edition of Money Saving Tips was HMV's £69.99 Friends box set. Amazingly, Zavvi has gone one better this week and reduced the full ten season set to just £49.99 -- which means buyers will save a massive £150 off the RRP. I think this could be the biggest discount I've ever found when writing these money-saving tips.
Not to be outdone, however, HMV has cut the price of this complete box set of The West Wing to £49.99. Once again, the RRP on this cult series has been slashed by £150!
And at TheBookPeople.co.uk, this complete CD set of Roald Dahl audio books is now reduced from £120 to £18.99. That's £101.01 off! Listeners can enjoy the adventures of Matilda, The BFG, The Twits and The Witches among several others -- and I think this would make a fantastic Christmas present for any child.
Voucher code heaven can be found at myvouchercodes.co.uk, a website which lists a range of discount codes and printable vouchers to help you save on your everyday shopping. You may also want to check out codes.co.uk and hotukdeals.com.
And Amazon fans looking for a bargain should take note of Price Cut Review, a nifty website that lists all current Amazon products selling at half price or less.
