Want to work at home but be read all over the world? loveMONEY.com is looking for an enthusiastic, creative and experienced Features Writer to help grow our global audience.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who loves the challenge of researching and creating compelling content that will engage and inspire audiences worldwide and in several languages. Experience of analysing data and spotting trends is essential as you’ll be using often complex datasets to bring a story to life.

You’ll produce engaging photo gallery features on a range of topics including:

  • Geopolitics and the global economy;
  • Industry trends and leaders;
  • Comparisons of countries’ cost of living, prosperity and economic prospects;
  • Pensions and retirement;
  • Rich lists.

This role will predominately be home-based, although it will occasionally require travel to London.

Key responsibilities of the role

  • Generating great ideas that will help us grow our audience on our own and our partner sites;
  • Researching and producing engaging, predominately photo-led content;
  • Helping to maintain our archive of content by updating and reworking older features to ensure they’re accurate and relevant;
  • Monitoring performance using analytics tools to understand what’s worked, what hasn’t and why (full training will be provided).

Skills and attributes needed

  • A passion for digital journalism and telling great stories using words and pictures;
  • Ability to analyse and interpret complex datasets;
  • Photo editing skills;
  • An excellent news instinct and understanding of current affairs;
  • Knowledge of current media legislation, especially libel and copyright law;
  • Experience using a content management system beneficial (although training will be provided);
  • Good interpersonal/communication skills;
  • Excellent project/time management and organisational skills;
  • Excellent attention to detail (grammar, style, consistency).

Compensation
We offer a competitive salary dependent on experience plus a discretionary performance-based bonus scheme and excellent benefits, including 30 days’ annual leave.
