First ever £20 coin created by Royal Mint
A limited-edition £20 coin has been created and it's expected to sell out fast.
The first ever £20 coin has been created by the Royal Mint, bearing the St George and the Dragon design.
It’s available on limited edition through the Royal Mint website to people living in the UK.
As only 250,000 have been made, the special edition coin is expected to sell out quickly and will be shipped from the 31st October.
Limited edition
Only three will be allowed per household.
The coin features an image of St George which was first seen on a sovereign designed by Italian engraver Benedetto in 1817. The same image features on a £5 silver coin which was launched to celebrate Prince George's birth and sold out in just five days.
The coin will be the first in a series of special £20 coins which will be issued in recognition of significant events in British culture.
Most people who get their hands on the special coin will do so as a collectors’ item, but it can also be cashed in and used to the value of £20.
If you want to get your hands on one you can put in an order through the website.
