Well, last week's freezing temperatures finally seem to have subsided for a while -- hurrah! So if braving the outside and doing some shopping is back on your agenda, here are some fabulous deals to get you started...

Gadgets and homewares

First up this week, is this nifty Creative ZEN 8GB MP3 Player from Amazon. The 8GB music player can store up to 4,000 songs, and thanks to its light-weight and compact design, you can take it anywhere! It's currently just £59.99 -- saving buyers a massive £30 off the RRP.

If a big family event is coming up and you fancy filming it, this stylish Canon MD110 camcorder from Additions Direct might catch your eye. Currently half price at £84.50, this is a bargain not to be missed! New customers can get a further £30 off by entering the code ZG430 at the checkout.

Meanwhile, for those of you looking to improve your DIY skills, this fantastic general purpose tool kit from Screwfix.com currently has £12 off at £12.99.

Play.com is currently offering up to 80% off a range of games. Both Bully (RRP £39.99) and Splinter Cell 4: Double Agent (RRP £49.99) are available for the Xbox 360 at just £9.99 each.

If you're more of a book-worm, Amazon is offering up to 60% off a range of books.

Waterstones also has some great offers on at the moment, including 40% off world fiction, 40% off kids' books, and paperbacks from just £1.99. Stieg Larsson's gripping The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo has £4 off at just £3, while Kate Morton's The Forgotten Garden can be bought for £5.59, down from £7.99.

If you do decide to venture outside, and you're not on some ridiculously strict diet for the new year, many eateries are still offering some fabulous 2 for 1 deals on main meals.

If you sign up to Burger King's website, you can access £35 worth of vouchers to help satisfy your burger cravings.

Giraffe is also offering 2 for 1 on main meals throughout January. Simply print out this voucher and take it to your nearest restaurant. This offer is not valid at any time on Saturdays, or before 6pm on Sundays.

Pizza restaurant Strada has also started offering 2 for 1 on main courses through the Metro. The offer is valid Sundays to Thursdays until 5 February.

You can also grab yourself a 2 for 1 offer at Caffe Uno throughout January if you sign up here.

What's more, if you live in London, you might want take advantage of the January sale at LateNightLondon. By simply printing out this voucher, you could bag yourself 50% off all food and drink at a range of venues in London between 7pm and 11pm!

Finally, if you'd prefer to stay in but don't fancy putting your chef's hat on, M&S' two dine in for £10 offer is back this weekend. For just £5 per person you can endulge in a delicious main meal, side dish, dessert and bottle of wine. This offer is valid until Sunday 18 January and you can view the scrumptious menu here.

Fashion and beauty

Many high street shops still have massive bargains on offer, so it's not too late to do some January sale shopping. So to help you shop until you drop, here are the latest offers:

 Barratts: Up to 70% off a range of shoes and boots.

 Body Shop: Up to 50% off selected lines while stocks last.

 Dorothy Perkins: Up to 70% off a range of clothes and accessories.

Offers that continue to be valid

Throughout January, both Zizzi and Pizza Express are offering 2 for 1 on all main meals. Simply print out this voucher for Zizzi (expires 31 January), and this voucher for Pizza Express (expires 29 January). Note that the Pizza Express offer will give you the most expensive meal free (not the cheapest)!

Pizza Hut is offering 50% off your bill until 13 February with this voucher. And Carluccio's 2 for 1 offer on all main meals is available until 13 February with this voucher.

Finally, you can still get up to 40% off with Hotels.com. This include breaks in the Mediterranean, European cities, the US and Far East. It's also offering up to 50% off ski breaks in the USA & Canada.
