Last chance for better cashback rate on Nationwide Select card
You’ll need to hurry if you want to take advantage of the boosted rate of cashback on this great all-round credit card.
Time is running out to get the increased rate of cashback on the Nationwide Select Credit Card.
Until 19th February, new Select credit card customers can earn 2% cashback on all purchases made in sterling for 90 days from the account opening and a rate of 0.5% thereafter.
Usually there is a flat rate of 0.5% on all purchases with the card.
The boosted rate of cashback is a limited time offer that makes an already terrific all-round card even more appealing.
What else does the Select card offer?
As well as cashback, the Select credit card also offers a competitive 15 months interest-free on purchases and 26 months 0% on balance transfers which come with a 2.4% fee.
Once these introductory offers end a representative APR of 15.9% will apply.
The card even allows you to enjoy commission-free purchases abroad.
If you only want to carry one credit card, the Select is the best you’re going to find that combines so many features.
How to get the Select card
However, the Select card is only available to Nationwide current account customers.
You will qualify for the card if you hold or choose to open a FlexDirect account or the £10-a-month FlexPlus account. Though these will have to be used as a main current account to qualify for the cashback.
FlexAccount customers are also eligible but they need to hold a debit card (rather than a cash card) and either need to have credited £750 a month for the past three months, or switch to the FlexAccount using the Current Account Switch Service, or have switched in the last four months.
Out of the three I think the FlexDirect account is the best account to go for. That's because it offers 5% AER on in-credit balances up to £2,500 as well as a fee-free overdraft for 12 months.
