Current Discounts And Deals #47

Are you wondering how to cut your costs this summer? Look no further...

Despite the recent grotty weather, most of us are likely to have some summer activities planned for the next few weeks. Here are a host of discounts on summer bits and bobs, so you can enjoy yourself for less when the sun finally does decide to put in an appearance. Visit deep discounter Lidl for loads of hot summer deals. Specials include swimming floats at £1.99 each, a range of sunglasses for £1.99 a pair, bamboo garden torches for £1.99 each and kids' ice lolly makers for just 99p. Barbecue fanatics everywhere should have a look at Tesco Direct, where you can currently get 30% off selected barbecues and patio heaters. But hurry - this deal ends on Sunday June 8th. And if you want to keep the kids entertained in the garden, have a look at this 10ft Easy Set Pool And Cover from Argos. It's now £39.99 (reduced from £49.99). Perhaps you're planning to get sporty this summer? If so, Sportsshoes.com might be worth a visit. They're currently offeringup to 90% off certain sports shoes, clothes and accessories. Or do you fancy a sports-packed summer break? Center Parcs is currently offering late deals in June for just £28 per person. To get the latest offer price, enter code CPWEB into the promotional code box online, or quote CPWEB when you ring the call centre. If this sounds all a bit too active for you, here are a couple of nice relaxing deals on cheap nosh. Burger King has loads of two-for-one deals on at the moment; simply print off these vouchers and take them along. Offers include buy-one-get-one-free Whoppers, Angus Burgers and Chicken Royales, and all vouchers are valid until June 15th. Alternatively, Ha! Ha! pubs are offering £10 off your meal, until June 13th, when two people spend £30 on food. Just print this voucher and take it along to your nearest restaurant. As usual, just make sure you read all voucher terms and conditions carefully, as exclusions may apply. Finally, here's something a bit different. If you're looking for presents for family and friends (or just treats for yourself), keep an eye on gadgetry and games site Firebox.com this month. It's offering a whopping 50% off a different item every day in June, to celebrate its 10th birthday. Offers Which Continue To Be Valid: It's worth checking out high street stores such as Topshop, Topman and Urban Outfitters. Most are now entering the clearance periods of their summer sales, so huge discounts of 70% or more can be found on selected items. And there are several great deals available on DVDs at the moment. Louis Theroux: The Collection is now £13.99 at Play.com. Normally, this four-disc selection of the finest moments from his critically acclaimed TV shows is £29.99 -- so fans can save a massive £16 off the RRP! Alternatively, I imagine some female readers might be more interested in getting their hands on The Brad Pitt Collection. Yes, I know -- DVDs are hardly a substitute for the man himself -- but at £9.99 for four films, this offer from Powerplaydirect.com is too, er, attractive to refuse. Avid computer gamers can also pick up their fair share of discounts this week. Dvd.co.uk is offering a selection of Xbox 360, Wii, PS3, PSP and DS games in promotional 2 for £25 and 2 for £30 deals. Attention all bookworms: The Book People is offering fantastic discounts on book boxed sets for girls. This Jacqueline Wilson collection contains 10 books, and is bound to go down well with young ladies. Even better, it's a bargainous £9.99 (a saving of £38.91 off the RRP!). There are some big discounts on holidays and mini-breaks available right now. Thomson has reduced the price of selected accommodation abroad to as little as £2 per room, per night -- but act quickly as the best choices will disappear fast! Elsewhere, Travelzoo.com is offering family accommodation in London for £130 per night (for up to two adults and two children). Each guest staying at the New South Bank Hotel will receive a free breakfast, and 50% off other food and drink throughout their stay. Children are also entitled to a free gift bag, and the offer is available between 28 July and 14 September -- perfect for a school summer holiday getaway! And finally, Expedia is offering 40% off stays in selected USA hotels, and Lastminute.com is offering a wide variety of discounts on holidays, city breaks and flights as part of its continuing summer sale. Voucher code heaven can be found at myvouchercodes.co.uk, a website which lists a range of discount codes and printable vouchers to help you save on your everyday shopping. And Amazon fans looking for a bargain should take note of Price Cut Review, a nifty website that lists all current Amazon products selling at half price or less.
