And there also are some great new travel and accommodation deals to take advantage of. So, let's kick off straight away with some new cut-price bargains. If you're a lady looking to re-vamp your undies collection, head for the La Senza summer sale. There's a hefty 50% off lots of bras, nightwear and other frilly treats. On a slightly more banal note -- are you looking for some shiny new pots and pans? As part of Debenhams price-slashing antics, this five-piece pan set is now £42, reduced from £140. Or if outdoor cooking's more up your street -- check out the latest special buys at Lidl. The deep discounter is currently selling a range of cheap barbeque essentials, including food, sauces, cups for 49p and a pack of ten grill trays for £1.79. If you can't be bothered to cook at all, you could head off to your local Slug and Lettuce pub instead. If you register your email address on the website, you'll be able to print out a voucher which gives you £5 off a £10 spend -- on either food or drink -- at any Slug and Lettuce venue. Are you struggling to afford a break this summer? There are a couple of deals around at the moment which could help you slash the cost of your holiday. First up, Best Western Hotels is celebrating its 30th birthday by offering a £30 room deal. If you book between now and July 6th, you'll pay just £30 per room per night for stays between 21st July and 7th September, at 90 participating hotels. As usual, just make sure you've read all the terms and conditions before parting with your cash. For example, this rate doesn't include breakfast -- and a minimum two-night stay applies. Finally, here's a good deal for those planning a trip between UK cities. Megabus provides low-cost intercity bus and train services within the UK. If you book now for journeys from July 14th onwards, you could bag a single train ticket from Glasgow to Birmingham for just £1.50, and a return journey for £2.50. And that even includes the booking fee! I'm afraid I have mixed tidings for reluctant homewares hunters, because the Swedish shopping emporium is having a seasonal sale -- but it's only available in stores! However, with discounts of up to 50% available, I'd say it may be worth steeling your nerves, setting off early and grabbing the goods you need for less... Meanwhile, Asda has put together a special range of discounts to celebrate Wimbledon. Pimms is reduced to £7, Jacobs Creek sparkling wine is £6.12 and Haagen Dazs ice cream is still just £2. In related news, Asda and Tesco have begun a so-called `price war'. Tesco has promised to reduce the price of 3,000 items by up to 50% from Monday, while Asda has stated its intention to sell certain staple foods (including bread, eggs and butter) for 50p per item. That's definitely something to consider before you start next week's grocery shopping! Cosmetics kings and queens might want to head to Boots.com this weekend. In its summer sale, there's up to 75% off a wide range of items. And if it's a getaway you're interested in, why not check out Expedia?
