Time running out to boost your Clubcard points

Updated on 03 September 2014 | 1 Comment

There are just a few days left to double the value of your Clubcard points.

If you want to boost the value of your Clubcard points at Tesco, time is running out.

The Boost at Tesco Summer Event allows shoppers to convert £5 of Clubcard vouchers into £10 of tokens to spend in certain departments. You can also get £3 to spend on Tesco grocery deliveries for every £1.50 in vouchers you exchange.

However, boost tokens must be spent by 8th September, so you don’t have long left to take advantage.

Here's a list of the participating departments and what's included and excluded within those.

Clothing & School Uniforms

Includes:

  • Womenswear/menswear/kidswear
  • School uniforms
  • Uniform embroidery
  • Swimwear
  • Baby and toddler clothing
  • Accessories
  • F&F Jewellery

Excludes:

  • Other jewellery
  • Fancy dress purchases from tescoparty.com

Back to school accessories

  • Stationery
  • Diaries and organisers
  • Calculators
  • Lunchboxes, bottles and flasks
  • Art sets
  • School bags

Excludes:

  • Products featured as Tesco Partners at Tesco Direct

Opticians

Includes:

  • Prescription glasses from £15
  • Contact lenses
  • Designer sunglasses
  • Accessories

Excludes:

  • NHS sight tests
  • Optical purchases from other departments

Clubcard Boost is also available on all departments on Tesco Direct and Tesco’s Hudl tablet.

How do I swap my Clubcard vouchers?

You can boost your Clubcard vouchers online or in most Tesco stores.

Remember that you can only use your tokens in the selected department though.

There’s no limit to how many vouchers you can exchange.

Other ways to boost your Clubcard points

There are many ways to bump up your Clubcard points balance.

For example, you can earn points for every £1 you spend, wherever you spend it, with the Tesco Bank Clubcard for Purchases. It pays five Clubcard points for every £4 you spend in-store or at Tesco Fuel and one point for every £1 you spend everywhere else.

It also comes with a 19-month 0% period on purchases.

If you have E.ON as your energy provider, you get 1,500 Clubcard points a year. Remember, it’s not worth switching to E.ON for the sake of the Clubcard points if you end up spending more for your energy than with an alternative provider. Compare energy deals in your area with lovemoney.com.

Other ways to top up your points include doing surveys with Shopper Thoughts and converting your cashback with TopCashback.
