Best supermarket deals

This week, I'm going to begin with the best grocery deals at Tesco. There's still a half-price deal on this raspberry cheesecake (630g) reduced from £3 to £1.50. And a 2 for 1 deal on double chocolate chip muffins means you can currently get eight for just £1.29.

In the fruit and veg aisle, there are good 2 for 1 deals on juicing oranges, carrots, courgettes, stringless beans and tomatoes. Big tins of Celebrations are still on sale for £5 instead of £10. And there are also 2 for 1 deals on several varieties of Robinsons Fruit & Barley squash, usually £1.22 each.

At Sainsbury's, there's another 2 for 1 deal on muffins: Blueberry, chocolate chip and double chocolate chip are all selling at £1.29 for eight.

400g of McLelland Seriously Strong Cheddar has been reduced from £3.68 to £1.84. And there are also good half-price deals on beef rump steak (now £5.73 per kg), and beef sirloin steak (now £7.75 per kg).

ASDA top deals include fresh baby spinach (180g) - still reduced from £1 to just 50p. And you'll be pleased to know the deal on Ben & Jerry's ice cream (500ml) is still running too: You can currently buy two pots for only £3!

There are better-than-half-price deals on several varieties of Hellmann's mayonnaise. 430ml bottles cost £2.10 each, but you can pick up two for just £2.

And there's a good almost-half-price deal on olive oil: You can currently buy Napolina Special Selection Extra Virgin Olive Oil (500ml) for £2, instead of the usual £3.97.

At Morrisons, you can now pick up a Goodfella's Delicia Margherita (315g) for just £1 - reduced from £2.45. You can also get Heinz Squeezy Tomato Ketchup (342g) for 65p, reduced from £1.35.

And finally, Morrisons is also running a 2 for 1 deal on 160 bag packs of Tetley Tea, which means you get 320 teabags for £3.55.

Tipple

At ASDA, you can still pick up eight 500ml cans of Bulmers Original Cider for just £6.

And Morrisons is running a strong 3 for 2 offer on booze (although we're told the offer ends this Sunday - 24th October - so you'll have to be quick).

In a nutshell, you can currently buy any three of the following for a total of £18: 10x440ml of Guinness Draught; 15x284ml of Stella Artois; 15x275ml of Grolsch; or 12x440ml of Strongbow. Each customer can buy a maximum of six cases of drink.

Cut price snacks

I'm a bit scared of IKEA (it's just so darned BIG!) but if you're a regular visitor it might be worth you joining the IKEA FAMILY. If you do, you'll get reductions on food and drink in IKEA restaurants - so you can re-fuel for less while you shop.

At the moment, IKEA is offering free tea and coffee to all FAMILY members, Monday to Friday.

Buy the Guardian newspaper on any Friday during October and you'll find a voucher for a free Fairtrade Tall espresso, latte, cappuccino, mocha or Americano worth up to £2.25. Just remember that the voucher is valid on the day of publication only.

Budget bakery Greggs is still running its latest promotion: You can get two chilli steak lattices for the price of one when you register here. The voucher you'll be emailed is redeemable until 24th October.

Finally, Millie's Cookies is still offering a print-off voucher booklet which includes various 2 for 1 deals on cookies and ice cream. The vouchers expire on 31st October.

Voucher codes

You can currently save £5 on your first online order with Tesco, as long as you spend £50 or more. Just enter the code XX-CRDJ at the checkout.

This code expires on 31st December, and you can find out more about it here.

And finally... half-price chocolate!

This week, I stumbled across the factory clearance section of the Thorntons website.

If you're thinking about getting someone chocolates for Christmas (or you just want some for yourself!) it's well worth a look.

Current online offers include this Christmas Chocolate Selection (442g), which contains 36 chocolates and has been reduced from £10 to £5.

Or - as a treat for yourself - what about 200g of misshapen chocolates for £1.99? They might look a bit funny, but I'm sure they'll taste the same!

Every effort is made to source voucher codes which are valid at the time this article is published. However, please be aware that lovemoney.com cannot guarantee that every voucher will be valid or that it will not be withdrawn by the provider immediately.
