The high street sales never end thankfully. So if you're on the hunt for some new threads, these are the places to start your bargain hunt!

If you'd prefer to put your cash towards sprucing up your home, then Debenhams should definitely be your first stop - it is currently offering up to 50% off duvets and pillows!

John Lewis also has some cracking deals for homeware, with this nest of tables currently just £339 - a saving of £145!

Books and games

If you fancy curling up with a nice book this weekend, then these magic deals should be on your radar.

  • First off, Waterstones has identified a whole host of books that will make great Christmas presents, and is offering them at a discount of up to 50%!
  • There are also some cracking new books in the deals of the week over at Amazon, including the brand new Adrian Mole book, Adrian Mole: The Prostate Years, at just £8.54 - a saving of 55%!
  • And finally, The Book Depository has a magic promotion offering bumper discounts on the best books of 2009. Some of the top deals include 50% off Superfreakonomics by Steven D. Levitt, available at £9.96, as well as 50% off the new Nick Cave novel The Death of Bunny Munro, which you can get your hands on for £8.45.

If you'd rather pass the time with a bit of gaming, then luckily for you there are some cracking deals on offer at the moment.

  • If you fancy snapping up the new Assassins Creed II game, then The Hut is your best bet. You can get it for £32.73 for both the PS3 or the Xbox, saving you more than £7.
  • However, if you'd rather do your best impression of Gary, Mark, Howard and the other one, The Hut is once again the place to go if you want to get your hands on Singstar: Take That. You can pick up the game for just £14.73, a saving of £5.26!
  • And if you'd rather use your computer console to get fit, then why not snap up the new Wii Fit Plus game (with board) from Toys R Us, where you can save a whopping £21! It's currently available for just £68.99.
