Rachel Robson hunts out the best bargains on the high street...

I'm Rachel Robson for lovemoney.com and welcome to Frugal Friday, the show where we hunt out the hottest discounts on the high street.

Bargain books

First up this week, books.

Winter is well and truly here, so if you fancy escaping the cold and snuggling up with a good book, there are plenty of great deals to keep you occupied.

At WHSmith, you can currently enjoy up to eighty percent off selected books. So if you're a Terry Pratchett fan, you can pick up Unseen Academicals for just eight pounds fifty-five - saving you more than ten pounds.

Alternatively, Tesco is offering some fabulous deals on paperbacks. So if you just love James Patterson, you can now pick up Run For Your Life for just three pounds eighty-six - a saving of more than four pounds.

Games

Next up, games.

If you're looking for a Christmas present for a gaming fanatic, check out The Hut which is packed full of offers.

If you're after something for the Nintendo Wii, you can get your hands on Where the Wild Things Are for under eighteen pounds. That's more than seventeen pounds off!

On the other hand, for the Xbox 360 you can pick up Street Fighter Four for just under fifteen pounds - saving you more than twenty-five pounds.

Finally, if you want something for the Nintendo DS, at Amazon, you can enjoy Professor Layton and Pandora's Box for just over twenty-four pounds.

Friday freebie

Finally, this week's freebie.

If you haven't yet bought your Christmas tree, hurry down to B&Q this weekend! If you spend more than thirty pounds, you'll receive a Christmas tree absolutely free!

This deal is valid until the sixth of December. However, due to popularity, it's worth giving your local store a ring first to make sure it still has trees in stock!

Links to all of today's discounts and deals can be found in our Frugal Friday email, which you can sign up for by registering on lovemoney.com.

That's it from me today. Thanks for watching and have a great weekend!
