Vue extends two-for-one EE and Orange Wednesdays offer

Updated on 25 February 2015 | 0 Comments

The cinema will continue to offer the discount to Orange and EE customers in March.

Today is the end of an era for many cinema goers, as it marks the last day to take advantage of the EE/Orange Wednesdays two-for-one deal.

The offer, which has been around for more than 10 years, has allowed Orange and EE customers to get a two-for-one discount on cinema tickets every Wednesday.

But back in December EE said it would be ending the longstanding promotion due to declining numbers of people taking advantage.

However, Vue has stepped into the void and has said it will be extending the two-for-one offer to Orange and EE customers in March with its own incarnation of the deal: Vue 2for1 Wednesdays.

Who can get the offer?

Vue 2for1 Wednesdays will allow you to get two tickets to the same screening and receive the lower priced ticket for free.

Although the Vue two-for-one deal is a separate promotion from EE and Orange, it will still only be available to Orange and EE customers.

To qualify you must be an Orange or EE mobile customer, or have either an Orange or EE broadband or mobile broadband account.

How to take advantage

If you’re eligible you can get your unique discount code every Wednesday throughout March by texting '2for1' and your email to 51055 (standard network rates apply) or filling in this online form on the Vue website.

You’ll be able to redeem the code when buying tickets at the box office or when you book online (booking fee applies) on the Wednesday of your visit. The code is only valid on standard 2D screenings, though you can pay the additional cost and upgrade to 3D films or VIP seats if you like.

By applying for the code you’ll be opting in to marketing emails and texts. Vue says you can opt out of these by texting ‘STOP’ to 51055 (standard network rates apply).

The offer will be available at all Vue cinemas in the UK apart from Vue Dublin, Vue Leamington Spa, Vue Gateshead, Vue York and Vue Cramlington.

What about the pizza?

EE/Orange Wednesdays also allowed you to get a two-for-one discount on meals at Pizza Express on the same evening.

Pizza Express says it will replace the EE/Orange Wednesdays offer with Pizza Wednesdays for a limited period.

You can get two-for-one on dough balls and main courses each Wednesday up to 18th March.

Unlike Vue, Pizza Express is opening up this offer to all. To take advantage you just need to fill in the online form to generate a unique code.

But again when you apply for the code you have to agree to be contacted about future offers from Pizza Express.
