Get 10% cashback rewards at restaurants and bars with NatWest and RBS
Get 10% back on spending at restaurants and bars with your Cashback Plus card until the end of June.
NatWest and Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) have announced a Spring bonus for holders of the banks' cashback credit cards, which could see them pocket a whopping 10% cashback when eating out.
With the NatWest or RBS Cashback Plus Credit Card you’ll get 10% cashback on everything you spend in UK restaurants and bars from 1st April until 30th June.
On top of that there's also 1% cashback available on supermarket spend (excluding petrol stations), while also other spending will earn you 0.5% cashback. And all contactless spending will generate an extra 1% cashback until the end of June.
Your cashback rewards can be turned into cash, partner rewards or a charity donation.
Just be aware that after the offer ends, the 10% rate will drop to just 0.5%. There's also an annual fee of £24 to bear in mind.
Other cashback credit cards
The Cashback Plus Credit Card isn't the only cashback card out there. If you’re not too keen on dining out, there are other cards that give you more healthy amounts of cashback when you spend elsewhere.
The Santander 123 Credit Card is a great example. You’ll get 1% back on supermarket spending, 2% at department stores and 3% on petrol or train fares. It also comes with an annual fee of £24.
Or if you want a bumper boost, the American Express Platinum Cashback Credit Card gives you 5% cashback in your first three months (capped at £125). After that, you’ll earn a flat rate of 1.25% on all of your spending, which doubles to 2.5% cashback for your anniversary month every year if you spend more than £10,000 in your previous 12 months. This card comes with a fee of £25 a year.
If you don't fancy paying an annual fee, then the American Express Platinum Cashback Everyday Credit Card is your best bet. It pays 5% cashback over the first three months up to a maximum of £100. After that, you can earn up to 1.25% depending on your yearly spend.
