The 12 fixed energy tariffs ending in July
Households on these tariffs could see bills rise by up to £140 a year.
A total of 12 fixed energy tariffs from suppliers including British Gas, Co-operative Energy, EDF, First Utility, iSupply, Sainsbury’s Energy and Scottish Power are due to expire on 31st July.
So if you’re on one of these tariffs, you may want to think about switching to a new one or you could face having to pay up to £140 more a year for your energy.
That’s because once these tariffs end, you’ll be moved onto your provider’s standard tariff, which tends to be more expensive.

As you can see not all of the deals about to expire will become more expensive for households once they revert to a standard tariff. With three deals from British Gas and Sainsbury’s Energy you’ll actually move onto a cheaper deal.
Even so, those customers could also save by shopping around and switching rather than staying loyal to their existing supplier.
