Here are some tips on how to earn points faster so you can get thinking about how to make the most of everything you spend.

Earning more Nectar points

There are plenty of ways to accelerate your Nectar points earning potential with the American Express Nectar Credit Card. Here are some ideas on how to maximise your point power…

Use your card for everyday spending

When you shop with the American Express Nectar Credit Card you earn two points for virtually every £1 you spend. Put all of your regular spending on the card and you could rack up some serious points!

Use it alongside your Nectar card

When you shop with a Nectar partner, like Homebase or First Trains, be sure to use your American Express Nectar Credit Card alongside your Nectar card and you’ll earn even more points! There’s up to four points for virtually every £1 you spend.

Do your big spending early

If new cardholders spend £2,000 in their first three months of Cardmembership with the card, they’ll benefit from 20,000 bonus Nectar points. That’s worth £100 to spend with Nectar partners. (Representative example: Representative 25.0% APR variable. Based on annual fee of £25 and assumed credit limit of £1,200. Interest rate for purchases: 19.9% p.a. variable.)

Refer a friend

Do you know someone who is a big Nectar fan? If you have an American Express Nectar Credit Card you can refer someone to apply for one of their own and if approved you’ll benefit from 5,000 Nectar points, just for being such a great friend! (A maximum of 25,000 Nectar bonus points per year. See here for full details). Your friend is then entitled to a 1,000 point referral bonus and could also qualify for their own 20,000 point bonus if they spend £2,000 in the first three months of Cardmembership with the card.
