Morrisons launches Delivery Pass

Delivery Pass means shoppers can save on grocery deliveries over one, six or 12 month terms.

Supermarket Morrisons has launched a new Delivery Pass which allows shoppers to save money when they buy groceries online.

The Delivery Pass is a one-off payment plan which allows you to order as often as you like without any additional charges over a one, six or 12 month period.

You can opt for an anytime delivery which is available every day of the week or a mid-week plan which gives you one delivery a day on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

Anytime Passes cost £7 for a month, £40 for six months and £60 for a year. Going for mid-week pass is significantly cheaper at £5 for a month, £20 for six months and £30 for a year.

It would save you quite a bit in the long run. For example, if you got a delivery at the most expensive slot (£5) once a week for a year, taking out two weeks for a holiday, it'd cost £250 in delivery charges alone. But it would only set you back £60 with a pass.

You’ll be the first to know about Christmas delivery slots too, with priority booking if you sign up before October 1st. Bear in mind that you’ll only be able to book two deliveries between 20th and 24th December. There’s exclusive offers and discounts for Delivery Pass members throughout the year.

There is a minimum £40 minimum transaction to think about, though. It's probably only worth it if you're a regular Morrisons shopper.

Cut delivery costs

Aside from Aldi and Lidl, the rest of the competition offer delivery too, many of whom have their own money-saving passes.

To save a bit of dosh it’s generally best to get your shopping delivered on a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday but if it has to be a weekend, order it as far in advance as possible.

Try signing up for emails, joining loyalty schemes and switching between supermarkets to further lower your costs. Read more at How to slash your supermarket delivery costs.
