Is your energy bill about to rocket by nearly £200?

Updated on 16 September 2015 | 1 Comment

If you are on one of the fixed energy tariffs ending this month, you need to act now or else you could pay hundreds more!

A whopping 24 tariffs expire at the end of the month, with households across the country facing sharp energy bill rises unless they switch.

British Gas, Co-operative Energy, Extra Energy, First: Utility, iSupply, M&S Energy and Scottishpower all have tariffs that end on 30th September. When your fixed tariff finishes, you’ll be moved onto your provider’s standard tariff which is generally far more expensive.

Extra Energy customers on the ValuePlus Fixed Price Sept 2015 tariff will see the biggest price hike, at an average of £186.08.

However, as the table below shows a select few will actually see their energy bill drop.
