Halifax offers a full range of mortgage deals, for everyone from first-time buyers to those looking to remortgage. In fact when you remortgage over to Halifax you'll get £250 cashback to help you with the decorating or moving costs, as well as benefitting from free legals and valuations.

Its flexible and helpful service also scored points with readers.

HSBC

HSBC is another top performer when it comes to lifetime tracker mortgages, and you don’t need to be an existing customer to reap the benefits. One reader said HSBC had got their vote specifically because of how competitive its rates on lifetime trackers have been.
