Apple iPhone SE: UK price, specs, deals and release date
All you need to know about Apple's cheapest phone, which is available on pre-order from today
Apple is all set to launch the iPhone SE, its cheapest ever phone. We've put together all the info you'll need if you fancy getting your hands on one, including the price, specifications and official release date.
What is the iPhone SE?
In a nutshell, Apple's newest phone has most of the new tech from the iPhone 6 range, but packaged in a cheaper, smaller phone - it looks just like the iPhone 5S.
When is the UK release date?
The iPhone SE will be available on 31st March, but you can pre-order it now.
What will the iPhone SE cost?
The 16GB iPhone SE will cost £359, making it the cheapest new model from Apple. For the 64GB model the price tag is £439.
Deals
At the moment, no mobile network has revealed the pricing for their iPhone SE contracts. We will update this piece as and when they do.
What are the specs?
While the iPhone SE looks just like the 5S, it has double the processing power and a better battery life.
It comes with a 12 megapixel camera and 4K video recording. There's also the Live Photos feature you might have seen advertised heavily on TV.
Obviously it'll have Apple Pay, so you can spend cash without needing your bank card.
What colours does the iPhone SE come in?
You can get it in gold, silver, grey and rose gold.
Who is it aimed at?
Obviously the SE will appeal to anyone who doesn't like the larger iPhone 6 models, but wants to upgrade from an older model. For the cost conscious, the 16GB SE will appeal (although as always you can get cheaper by avoiding Apple altogether).
