National Trust: rent this Great Orme farm for just £1
As always with properties this cheap, there's a catch.
You can rent this £1 million farm for just £1 a year - provided you're able to look after the fragile landscape (and a lot of sheep).
The National Trust is offering up Parc Farm on the top of Great Orme, near Llandudno, Conwy county.
The trust hopes a new tenant can help protect the landscape as the area is rife with rare habitats and species, some of which exist nowhere else on Earth.

Long days and hours
So what will you need to do on the farm? Sheep will need to be regularly moved from pastureland to grassland frequently, often across difficult terrain - which means long hours.
You'll also need to work around Great Orme's 600,000 yearly visitors.
On the upside, the National Trust will supply the sheep and you'll get to keep any profit you make from the farm.
William Greenwood, general manager of the Trust, said: "To give [the tenant] a head start and the best chance of success, we’re taking away the financial pressure of having to cover the rent for the farm, the grazing right and the farmhouse each year.”
He added: "Unless we implement a very specific grazing regime we will not see these most fragile habitats recover.
“To ensure a healthy and beautiful landscape we need the most agriculturally productive pastureland to be grazed less, and the least agriculturally productive grassland to be grazed more.”
The trust hopes to find a new tenant for the farm by September, so if you are interested you might want to let them know sooner rather than later.

It's not the only super-cheap property we've seen recently. There’s a three-bedroom flat up for auction in a North Lanarkshire village with a starting price of just £1.
The apartment will obviously needs“significant upgrading”, but Auction House Scotland says it offers “huge potential for development."
A buy-to-let investor is expected to snap up this cheap offer.

Homes for £1 scheme
In Liverpool, anyone who lives and works in the city had the opportunity to buy homes for £1, provided they didn’t sell the property for five years and revamped properties up to decent home standards.
The scheme was introduced as a way of driving up the standard of housing in the city by regenerating areas that had been neglected for too long.
