Investing: why you need to be ruthless and unemotional
In his latest article for loveMONEY, ISA millionaire Robbie Burns explains how the right mindset is vital to successful investing.
Do you know how I made a million on the stock market? By being a shark.
While I feel in normal life I'm a nice guy, in the markets I just can't afford to be one of those.
To make money you have to be ruthless, focused and unemotional.
If you're nice, you'll lose. If you get emotional, you'll lose.
If you don't treat stock market investing like a business – guess what?

Mindset is key
I figured this out a while back, after meeting many investors who had lost money on the markets.
I've seen every possible trading and investing meltdown via the hundreds I have met at seminars and from the many thousands of emails I've had.
I examined why, and found that most fail because of their mindset.
Their thoughts were too cluttered with distractions and they lacked focus.
It sounds silly, but you need to tune your brain into making money.
So you need to become a shark and start gobbling up money from scared fish – and not the other way round!
