Whenever you use Click and Collect from ANY supermarket, check your use-by dates carefully. Last weekend I found that two items from my Sainsbury's order were already on their use by dates. Had I shopped in store, these items would either have been taken off the shelves or would have been reduced. Pensioners like me use the service in order to do a week's shopping at a time and we expect that what we buy will last as long as possible. I complained on Sainsbury's Facebook page but have had no response as yet. The items were turkey burgers which I hastily froze but most annoying were 6 batch bread rolls, most of which had to be thrown out as they were already too stale to eat on the day following collection. Yes, maybe I could have done something else with them like make breadcrumbs, but it really should not have happened. It's not fair to dump almost out of date stock on people who order online.
