From half price railcards to top nosh at great restaurants, here's our latest discounts and deals for the weekend.

March is in full swing, so here are our latest discounts and deals to put a spring in your step this weekend.

Young travellers listen up. Until 16 March, National Rail is offering a Young Persons Railcard for half price at just £12. If you're aged between 16 - 25, the potential savings could be huge, as if you spend over £36 a year on rail trips the card will already pay for itself.

Hurry, as the offer is only available online by using the promotional code SAVING12.

Boots Advantage card holders will have a plethora of points up for grabs this weekend. Spend £50 or more in a single transaction and you'll qualify for 500 extra points until 11th March. Don't forget to check out the extra offers in store at the Advantage Card kiosk.

Fancy a romantic meal for two - on a budget? Lastminute.com is currently offering a two course meal for the bargain price of £14.50. Unfortunately, most of the restaurants taking part in the deal are based in London. However, you can still grab some top nosh in Manchester, Cambridge, Oxford and Yorkshire. Book by Sunday 9th March to qualify.

Finally, spend £50 or more at John Lewis and use this voucher to get £10 off your first purchase online.

Offers which continue to be valid:

Lidl currently has loads of gardening equipment on special offer. Deals include wellies and a garden tool set at £3.99 each - so you can tackle all those nasty winter weeds.

You can also do your bit for the environment - and make a bit of extra cash - by visiting Green Metropolis.

The site will pay you £3 for every book you sell, and donate 5p to the 'Tree For All' campaign, run by the Woodland Trust. If you fancy a good read, you can also buy books here for £3.75.

If you're planning a trip to the States, you might want to check out the latest promotion from Expedia. You can now save £50 when you add a hotel to your Virgin Atlantic flight booking to New York, Chicago, Washington or Boston.

Enter the voucher code VIRGIN50 at the checkout. You need to book before March 12th, and as usual, make sure you read all the terms and conditions before flashing your cash.

Rates start from just £39 per room, per night. As ever, there are some excluded dates. Check the website for details.

If you like a good brew, why not pick up a promotional pack of Tetley Tea? At the moment, you can get a bonus 2 for 1 voucher which can be used at a range of theme parks including Alton Towers, Thorpe Park, and Chessington World of Adventures. Not bad for the price of a cuppa!

If your summer holidays still seem a VERY long way off, check out Ryanair's latest promotion and book yourself a spring getaway instead.

Cheap flights are currently on offer to destinations all over Europe for £10 each. The airline is known for its controversial advertising though, so just make sure you read all the small print.

If you fancy putting your feet up at home, check out the tipple at Marks & Spencer. The store is currently offering 20% off all wine, champagne and spirits - plus a further 10% off if you buy six bottles or more.

The next one's for Londoners only, I'm afraid: Transport for London has now launched its 2008 Oyster card offers.

There are dozens of two-for-one deals at top attractions, like Madame Tussauds and The London Dungeon.

Two-for-one West End shows include 'Chicago' and 'Avenue Q' - and there are also great offers on museum exhibitions, restaurant meals and lots more.

The items are sorted into relevant categories to peruse at your leisure. If you're an avid Amazon shopper, don't forget to check out our refund tip at the bottom of this article.

Kellogg's is offering a 'free' zoo ticket on selected packs of cereal, between now and March 23rd. Just make sure you read the terms and conditions carefully -- the other ticket holder must be a full paying adult, and the offer applies to participating zoos only.

And finally - don't forget this great money saving gem from Amazon.
