Monday's MoneySaving Tips

Fancy saving 25% at Debenhams, or snapping up discounts at Early Learning Centre or Tesco?

There are about 5 weeks until Christmas, and many of us are starting to think about doing our Christmas shopping - unless of course you're one of the organised few that's chosen their gifts, bought them and wrapped them up already!

So we thought we'd launch a new daily feature that will include all the offers and discounts we know about that are valid right now. We'll publish an update tomorrow  which will include any new tips that we've found plus all the tips from today that remain valid.

That means you can visit The Motley Fool each day and check what bargains are on offer as you read.

So let's go!

  •        Books -- Everyone loves a good book, and if you sign up to the Borders email you'll be sent a voucher worth 20% off your next purchase in-store.
  •        Toys - Boots and Marks & Spencer have their usual 3 for 2 offer on toys and gifts this Christmas - and as Boots is giving £1 to Children in Need for every toy sold you can be doing some good at the same time. Don't forget to check out the Advantage Point machines in-store to see if there are any further offers you could be benefitting from.
  •        Early Learning Centre also has some great discounts on its toys at the moment - including a third off its "Luxury Dolls Mansion", and £12.50 off its "Whizz Around Garage" (now £25).
  •        Head over to Debenhams to take advantage of their pre-Christmas sale - it'll be offering 25% off all items in-store from 21-23 November. And John Lewis is offering free delivery on anything ordered online at the moment.
  •       Tesco is offering 25% off all wine and champagne when you buy six bottles or more.
  •       Nectar is continuing its special Christmas offers, with this week's deal being 50% off MyVu iPod glasses, the Samsung mini camcorder (now 18,850 points) and the Sony DVD player for 12,950 points.
  •        Pet food - On a slightly different note, Vet UK is now offering free P&P not only on medicines, but also now offers a free, 48-hour courier delivery service for pet food, too.
  •       Christmas Accommodation - If you're likely to be visiting friends and family over the festive season and need somewhere to stay, check out Travelodge - it's offering thousands of rooms for just £19 per night (but you'll need to book before 1 December).

So there you have it, a few of the offers on at the moment. If you know of any more, please let us know by posting them on the Moneysaving tips discussion board or send us an email at moneysavingtips@fool.co.uk.
