Black Friday UK 2016: how to make money
Black Friday isn't just for bargain-hunters; with a bit of clever thinking you could make a tidy profit.
Black Friday is big business in the UK this year, with hundreds of shops getting in on the act - including Amazon, Tesco and Argos.
But, as well as offering some fantastic opportunities for a bargain, Black Friday could also make you a tidy profit.
Here are three ways to make money from today's sales.

1. Get paid to queue
Big discounts in-store mean big queues, but some bargain hunters don’t want to wait out in the cold. This means enterprising individuals can get paid to queue for other people.
Bidvine.com is looking for people to act as professional queuers today. Anyone not prepared to line up themselves can tap in their postcode, what store they need a queuer for and how long they think the waiting times will be.
The site says it expects people to pay around £15 an hour for someone to wait in their place.
“The festive shopping period can be stressful for even the most seasoned shopper and the struggle to get presents on a budget can dampen anyone’s Christmas spirit – that’s why we’ve introduced our Queuer service,” says Sohrab Jahanbani, CEO of Bidvine.com.
“People put off by long queues of the inevitable fight over the last Hatchimal, games console or TV often miss out on super savings come Black Friday and risk disappointed faces come Christmas Day.
“Hiring one of our Queuers ensures you have the support you need to brave Black Friday and come away feeling victorious rather than defeated.”

2. Make the most of cashback
If you are hitting the high street or online stores today, then earn money while you spend with cashback.
It’s too late to apply for a cashback credit card now, but you can still use cashback websites such as Quidco or Topcashback to make some cash.
Simply visit the cashback website and search for the store where you want to shop to see if there are any deals. If there are, click through to the store via the cashback website and your shopping will be tracked and you'll earn a percentage back.
Depending on what you buy, you could earn as much as 10% cashback so it is well worth the extra effort.
“Last year we saw £15m being spent through Topcashback, meaning on top of the saving offered by the retailer we helped our members save over one million pounds,” says Adam Bullock, UK director of TopCashback.
Some deals on cashback websites cover instore shopping too, so register your debit or credit card on the cashback site before you hit the shops and you could earn money while you spend.

3. Buy now, sell later
Another way to profit from Black Friday is to pick up some bargains to sell on once the discounts have ended.
With huge reductions on electricals and luxury high street clothing, you could pick up some bargains now that you can sell at a profit on auction websites after the sale is over.
Just make sure you do your research and are definitely getting a good price before you part with your money. You want to be certain you aren’t going to end up out of pocket.
