We reveal the last Christmas order dates for some of the biggest online retailers. Make sure you order in time so that your gifts arrive before Christmas!

If you want to avoid a mad dash to the shops on Christmas Eve, here’s our rundown of those all-important ‘last order’ delivery dates.

Please note the below dates are ordered by the last day you can buy any gifts from specific retailers and get them delivered via standard delivery, so they arrive before Christmas.

We have also included details for next-day delivery and delivery costs where possible.

Boden

12 December

While standard delivery elapsed on 2 December, premium delivery is available until 12 December.

Standard delivery is £3.95 (free on more than £50), while next working day is £7.95 and click and collect is £3.50.

New Look

17 December

You should place your order by 17 December for standard delivery, which is free for bookings of at least £50, or by 21 December for next-day delivery.

Standard delivery costs £2.99 for orders under £50 and next-day delivery is £5.99. Click & Collect costs vary.

Waterstones

17 December

You'll need to book by 17 December on second class.

First class is available until 19 December.

Orders are free over £25.

Second class is £2.99 and first class is £3.99.

18 December

You can order Christmas gifts up to midnight on Wednesday 18 December for UK standard delivery.

Standard delivery is free for orders above £30, rising to £3.95 for items under this amount. Meanwhile, express delivery sets you back £6.95 for orders over £70 or £6.95 for smaller spends.

Christmas supermarket deliveries

River Island

18 December

You'll need to book by midnight 18 December for standard delivery.

Next-day is available until 22 December.

Delivery is free on orders over £50 and £4 on anything less.

Next or nominated day is £6.

Lego

19 December

Fans of Lego will need to order by 8pm on 19 December for standard delivery.

Express is available until 20 December at 2pm.

Shipping is free on orders over £50.

Otherwise, the cost is £3.95.

Dunelm

19 December

Order before 9pm on 19 December for super saver delivery or standard delivery or the same time on 20 December for Express Delivery.

Standard delivery is free for orders under £49 and £3.95 for smaller sums. 

Express is £6.95 and large furniture comes in at £9.95.

Matalan

19 December

Standard delivery is available until midnight on 19 December.

You can get next-day until 22 December.

Standard delivery is free on purchases over £49.99 and £3.99 on smaller amounts.

Fragrance Direct

19 December

You’ll need to order by midnight on 19 December for tracked delivery. However, you’ll have up to 21 December on next-day slots.

Click and collect is available until 21 December.

Tracked delivery is free on purchases over £25.

Othewise, a £3.95 cost applies.

John Lewis

19 December

With John Lewis you need to get your orders in by 7pm on 19 December for standard delivery and 8pm on 22 for next-day.

Standard delivery is free for orders over £50, while you’ll pay £4.50 for orders under £10.

Urban Outfitters

19 December

If you’re picking up Christmas presents from Urban Outfitters, then you need to get your order in by 19 December for standard deliveries.

Standard fees are £3.99, with a three-to-five-day time frame.  

Express costs are £5.99.

ASOS 

20 December

For standard delivery (free for orders over £40), you’ve got until 20 December to get your orders in, while the last date for next-day delivery is 23 December.

You can also use standard or next-day Click & Collect. For standard Click & Collect, you need to order by 20 December. 

Standard delivery or Click & Collect costs £4.50 for orders under £40 while next-day delivery (or Click & Collect) costs £5.95. 

Adidas

21 December 

If you want express delivery, you''ll have until 21 December.

Standard delivery is £3.99, while express is £5.95.       

Next

22 December

You’ve got until 8pm on 22 December to get your orders in for delivery to your home from Next.

Standard delivery is £4.95 for one-person items, while two-person items are £15.

Delivery to the store is free, but you’ll have to pay £4.95 for items delivered to your home unless you have the Next Unlimited delivery saver pass, which costs £22.50 a year. 

Ann Summers 

22 December

Express delivery is available until 22 December.

Standard delivery is £3.99 (free on items over £40).

Express is £5.95, while click and collect is free.

Marks & Spencer

22 December

M&S says you can place orders for clothing and home up until 22 December “though these are subject to change”.

Deliveries are free for orders over £60 and £5.99 for anything less.

Amazon

23 December

The cut-off is 23 December for Prime members.

For those who don't have a membership, it varies by item.

Media costs (such as books, music and DVDs) are £3.99.

Delivery to a hub or pick-up location is £2.99 for non-Prime Members.
