The Royal Mint has released the first of four new Beatrix Potter 50p coins for 2018, featuring Peter Rabbit.

For collectors, the colourful Peter Rabbit coin (pictured below) is available for £60 from the Mint, while an uncoloured version is available for £10.

These coins are the latest to be added to the Beatrix Potter collection, which launched in 2016 to mark 150 years since her birth.
Anne Jessopp, acting CEO at the Royal Mint, said the range had "grown in popularity since Peter Rabbit was first introduced onto UK coins in 2016.
She added: "Since then, Peter Rabbit has been joined by a number of furry friends throughout the years.
"This year we are delighted to present another group of Beatrix's characters, giving them a new lease of life on our specially-designed coloured commemorative coins."
The coins were designed by Emma Noble, who has worked on past collections for the Royal Mint.
